In the past, #British pubs were visited by "seafood men" ("cockle men") who'd sell cockles, prawns, mussels and other such items to pub-goers from a wicker basket or on foot. Like many parts of pub culture, they're a very rare sight. It's rare to even see a seafood stall at a pub nowadays, never mind an actual cockle man. This is Dave Bartram the cockle man serving his goods in 2016, thought I've no idea how many are left today.

#TBT: Juanita Roberts, #LBJ’s chief personal secretary, once called Zephyr Wright, the Johnson family’s personal chef, to talk beans. Pork & beans, pinto beans, lima beans, green beans… who knew that LBJ would have so many bean opinions?! 🫘🫛
