The partnership between the UK & @CGIAR is a fantastic step towards addressing climate impacts for small-scale farmers! As we head into #COP28, scaling up climate finance for organizations like CGIAR that are improving resilience for our most vulnerable communities is critical.
Gratitude to @FCDOResearch for two decades of unwavering support in biofortification!
Together with @CGIAR & @HarvestPlus, we've introduced new climate-resilient crops, reaching millions across 19 countries in 2023. Your support fuels our commitment to sustainable agriculture.
The UK is launching a new science hub to develop climate-resilient crops and identify risks to global food systems.
Led by @CGIAR, it will link UK scientists with research initiatives to develop crops that can withstand the impacts of climate change and are more disease-resistant.

I work with people like these who are trying to #adapt to #ClimateChange at local level. However, to expect that they can solve problems they didn’t create without the rich stopping their unsustainable consumption and emissions is a lie. Every article needs to have that caveat.
Fascinating to see @CABI_News’ UK funded research which has so far reached over 60m farmers in 34 countries.
Monday’s UK hosted Global Food Security Summit will further discuss how science and innovation will play a vital role in tackling poverty around the world.
Looking forward to participating in this important event on Monday that signals high-level commitment to grappling with food insecurity and malnutrition. @susfoodshef @sheffieldgeog
