We have some news....🐣🦅
Two #WhiteTailedEagle chicks have fledged from a nest in England, only the 2nd time they have bred here for 240 years.
The chicks are the offspring of white-tailed eagles released by the @ForestryEngland@RoyDennisWF in 2020.

We're on a mission to raise £20,000 to help save one of the UK's most endangered native species. To support their survival, we plan to open a Conservation Breeding Centre at Marwell.

Great to see @Marwellwildlife shortlisted for over 30 years of efforts to reintroduce sand lizards to southern England. It was wonderful to work with these charismatic critters, the Marwell team, and project partners for my PhD, restoring 🦎 to Eelmoor Marsh in Hampshire

This year's "chick" - G625 - has been out of the nest for 2 months & is still hanging out with his parents. They'll continue to feed him until they start to prepare for the next breeding season. Then he will become fully independent. 🙏🏻 Phil Thornton for the images @RoyDennisWF

What a moment! A #WhiteTailedEagle is born in England – the 1st for over 240 years! It hatched earlier this summer & has now fledged. It's the first breeding success of the birds released by @ForestryEngland & @RoyDennisWF in a landmark project to return this iconic species.
Ragwort is our #WeedoftheWeek
The national flower of the Isle of Man is in the top 10 for UK nectar producers, supporting 10 rare & threatened species. This incudes the cinnabar moth caterpillar which absorbs toxins from the plant for it's own defence! #weeds#wildflowers
Two super exciting roles @KentWildlife with either an ecology or community engagement focus, both helping deliver on the South East Pine Marten Project 👀⬇️🌳 #naturerecovery#biodiversity

@WildLakeland We made this comment the other day in Hampshire. Not excessive amounts but partner & I independently both noticed more than we've seen in recent years 🤞
Weeds' "time has truly come'! @The_RHS champions traditional 'weeds' being a part of even the most designer gardens - let's diversify our garden ecosystems and give them some space 🌱🌼🐝🦋🐦⬛ #biodiversity#loveweeds
