@carensolomon@educator4ever36@therealvalwms@BOEAPS@apsupdate I also wonder what it would look like to try to support or partner with the district to realize improvements you want to see? I agree in holding leadership accountable but in a collaborative way?
This is disappointing. I once saw Ryan speak and really enjoyed his vision for the film industry in GA. Atlanta’s diversity and cultural capital are assets and if you’re going to come here you ought to appreciate that. Oh and don’t be a $&@ racist.
My latest story, an @ajc x @propublica investigative partnership:
Ryan Millsap, a powerful #Atlanta movie executive praised for his diversity efforts, shared racist, antisemitic sentiments in texts.

@educator4ever36@Education_now_@apsupdate Hi Gail. I recall when I was at APS and if wanted to request a sole source, I had to provide evidence as to why the vendor was uniquely qualified to meet the need. There was a process where we had to justify it and it went through procurement and an approval process.

@SarahKirschATL@apsupdate I think the only reason that APS should make a statement on this is if they want to say something about supporting their employees or students. In the absence of that, I don't see why they needed to make a statement and especially THIS one.
