The UK abstained from voting for a #ceasefire for the third time.
Head of Conflict and Humanitarian Advocacy at Save the Children UK, James Denselow, called it “bitterly disappointing.”
“Furthermore, the actions of the UK Government at the level of the #UNSecurityCouncil now contradict the UK government’s call for an immediate stop to the fighting,” he added.
“Abstention is not leadership, and it is denying children – many of whom are starving and have no safe place to go – the aid they need to survive.
“What children need is the decisive action required to protect lives. Only an immediate and definitive ceasefire will achieve this.”
