@GSwinburn@Yorknewsview The decision's been announced, including all the conditions. I don't think the licence can be cancelled now other than through the licence review process. One of the conds is that the premises must be a LGBTQIA+ venue, so I don't think this is a case of increasing the lease value
I'm appalled by last night's decision to approve a discriminatory #BlueBadgeBan in York centre for nearly 6 weeks in the run up to Xmas.
#ReverseTheBan! I meant it when I said it from opposition and I mean it now. #DisabledRightsAreHumanRights always, not just when convenient
@GSwinburn@theyorkbid@Nestle@YorkGreens@labouryork CYC does have an interest in removing the sorts of things you've photographed, and regularly do. You can report incidences here: https://t.co/CmkX8LsJmp
I also know you volunteer your own time to remove them.
But I don't think they're equivalent to the flags.
@rita_rake@ElectHer_UK 1. Trans women are women.
2. We need more diversity in politics, including more people who are disabled, young, LGBTQIA+, etc, as well as more women
3. Being exclusionary and marginalising trans women does not help to create an inclusive environment that encourages women to stand
.@ElectHer_UK found there are twice as many men as women standing in the May elections. We're still so far from equal representation in our elected representatives. There are no elections in York in May but I'm always happy to talk to any women who might be interested in standing
If you know any children and young people who live near Clarence Gardens then please ask them for their ideas too, and share the link with them and/or their parent or guardian as age appropriate
There's still time to have your say on improvements to Clarence Gardens! The Guildhall councillors would like to hear your opinions and ideas, so please take a few minutes before the end of the Easter weekend.
You can fill in the survey online here: https://t.co/Xdz06dFj6l
@GSwinburn I don't think it's accurate to say that they are going to be plastered all over the inner city. They've applied for planning permission, but that doesn't mean they'll get it, or that they'll get permission from the highways authority.
Fyi, I've called in the planning applications
@GrumpyBiker1969@CityofYork@theyorkmix@yorkpress@NYorksPolice If they're "out of town" vehicles them they are probably licensed by authorities that have a vehicle condition that says they can't have company livery on the doors. I'm afraid there's not much CYC can do about that if they're not breaking any rules
This weekend was the 1st of many Groves community cleans.Thank you Tracy and the Groves Association for getting us together for a tidy up and a cuppa.
Come along on the first Saturday of the month, 10am at Helmsley House. Meet others in the neighbourhood and take care of our area
@AndyDAgorne@flickhwilliams@CityofYork@YorkDisability@YorkDRF Not everyone could use it, so it didn't provide access to all. You were told that over and over again when you implemented the Blue Badge ban. It also couldn't drive along closed roads, so would be no help in this situation.
@GSwinburn@YorkshireWater@anthonysclarke@CityofYork Hi Gwen. I reported this to Yorkshire Water this morning because it wasn't logged on their website as an issue they're aware of. I hadn't seen your tweets.
A few weeks ago we leveled the area and removed trip hazards after it was left very uneven by machinery removing a fallen tree. The grass is already starting to grow back.
Thank you to Huntington Road residents for organising a leaf clearing and bulb planting session on Monkbridge Landing. Together we planted 200 bulbs. We're looking forward to seeing it in Spring
