The Powercore V3 is out of pre-order! All new orders should ship in 2-4 weeks.
The Powercore V3 is our most capable spark generator yet. Passively cooled and extremely fault resistant to those just learning EDM or running open loop systems.

The Betta Wire is shipping soon! We're pleased to reveal the success of the first 4-axis, desktop, wire EDM machine.
It sure has been a while, but good things come to those who wait! This video includes a full 4-axis cut in 19mm, 6000-series aluminum.

1/3 - Nathan asks a great question here! Why do we not supply a 48V supply with the WEDM Starter Kit?
The Starter Kit is a meant to be retrofitted onto ANY motion system. We don't know what system you will use, or what its electronics will look like.
I can’t believe @RackRobotics sent me this EDM spark generator without the required 48v power supply. How am I supposed to use this? 😾
Good thing I happen to 3 unused 48v power supplies laying around. This would have been a huge setback if I wasn’t a hoarder.
@B32712016 We definitely recommend running a more rigid machine than a CR-10. We also recommend running LinuxCNC as it allows very good closed loop control of your system.
We will soon be able to offer a controller for LinuxCNC.
3/3 - While some future options from Rack Robotics will be turnkey machines requiring no additional electronics, our current Starter Kit is meant for people who are technically savvy and are interested in building custom setups.
Is this right? What do you think?
2/3 - We have kept the system very open on purpose. Some machines may run 48V natively and will not need an additional supply that would only increase costs for the user.
Some, like Nathan, will already have a 48V supply on hand. No need to charge this person more.
This is getting ridiculous, first SOMEONE in the company sends one to CTRLPew and now they're sending them out to LITERAL DOGS?
We are SO FIRING whoever is sending these out
@LieutenantRusty@MorlockP Different materials will generally cut without fuss when running a closed loop system on LinuxCNC.
Speeds and surface finish will change depending on material, but overall they are very good. Any surface grain can quickly be taken down by 2000 grit paper
