WATCH: A Lufthansa Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (D-ABPQ) sustained substantial damage after its nose landing gear collapsed while parked at the gate at Frankfurt Airport.
The incident led to the cancellation of today's LH450 to LAX service as airport and airline teams assess the extent of the damage. Video from the scene shows the aircraft resting on its nose after the front landing gear unexpectedly gave way while stationary.
No injuries have been reported, but a technical investigation into the cause of the collapse has been opened.
I know it looks sad but still I lowkey need to travel A LOT. Idk why DC isn't included but I did went there last year.
Nevada's beautiful btw and not just fuckin sand and rocks there's more than that
@AWadzWolf@MallamarCat And to continue my comment off, when those crashes happen the Reno Airport Authority was like "We can't let you continue the air races because the neighborhoods around us are growing and we can't risk any lives from you crashing."
@AWadzWolf@MallamarCat I mean yeah that too is also a big factor as to why the air races moved to Roswell but I think it has to do with the most recent crashes from 2022 and 2023.
@AWadzWolf@MallamarCat If only they could actually maintain their aircraft so that they don't fall off like legos maybe the housing developments wouldn't mind cool ass air races on their backyard
@MallamarCat Go to Lake Tahoe and rent a jet ski or hike the mountains around it. You could also go to Tahoe City and get a raft to flow across the Truckee. Virginia City and Pyramid Lake are cool places to visit too. I kinda forgot where to get the best food but trust me you'll find one!
