A3: Concrete action - flight 3 training, revamp teacher work space in my building, use the AVID platform to practice working with all teachers on my campus. Get all teachers on board with using ClassMessenger as a communication tool. #polkteacherslead
A1: I must make a difference to a new teacher. I must sign up for flight 3 training. I must make a difference in my schools culture. If I see something that needs to be done, I won't wait on someone else to do it. #polkteacherslead
@ChristieBassett As I like to call it, my "teacher besties!" I surround myself with amazing teachers who are doing amazing work. I adopt new teachers with a smile and a laugh. Relationships spark change in AND out of the classroom.
@laxswimvball@robinlhee Sometimes when I feel like this, I just candidly speak it out to my collegues. In a friendly manner I'm like, "Sorry- I can get crazy sometimes. Did that make sense? I could use your help. You have the best ideas..."
A5: Speaking to Strengths: Education is so valuable to our society that it's sparks a fight in me. I am fascinated by the things that spark real change in schools. Weakness: Time. So much to do, so little time. #polkteacherslead
A4: How will I share? I will talk to my principals about how I can involve more teachers in PLC's. "leaders must grasp the underlying principles of PLCs." At the moment PLCs are more sit and get meetings. #polkteacherslead
@MichelleDinwid5 Veteran and new teachers are both huge assets. "American students are bored... and teachers are dissatisfied." I believe that's in large due to the lack of 21st century resources.
A3 Impact: "It's time for PLC's to GO BIG." Every person in the PLC should feel that they are a valuable contributor to growth and change. That is where we will really impact student success. #polkteacherslead
A1: idea to rethink my practice: "Change is a process of trial and error. THERE IS NO FORMULA THAT GUARANTEES SUCCESS. Change is finding out what is working and making adjustments based on the findings." Students are evolving so what works must evolve as well. #PolkTeachersLead
A1: One idea that made me rethink my practice: "cultural change is a process of trial and error. THERE IS NO FORMULA THAT GUARANTEES (SUCCESS). Change involves finding out what is working and making adjustments based on the findings." As students evolve- so does "what works."
@Things4FLppl@EmmaReynolds218 Hey! I'm new to Twitter. I had to set it up for a teacher leadership class. Anyway, I thought it was so crazy that your face popped up right away! Our kids were best friends in pre school. Emma Huffman and Isaac :)
@2017FLTOY I loved the activity where we stated the qualities of a leader. I looked around the room at the classic leaders on the wall and the new leaders in the room and I felt excited and honored. I can't wait to read our books and meet again to learn more!
