Think you know American history? Here’s what they didn’t teach you in school:

For over 100 years, Native American children were taken from their families and forced into government-run boarding schools. Their languages were banned. Their hair was cut. Their names were changed. Their culture was stolen. They were severely abused. Thousands died.

This happened to over 100,000 children.
This continued until the 1970s.
This was legal.
This was policy.

And most Americans have never heard about it.

Maybe that’s not an accident.
