Combined you can basically fake booleans and cut a hole without using the shader
And it's faster/more stable than boolean!

[1/2] 🧵Step-by-step tutorial for my ABS setup:
Create two helper bones: bottom parented to Hips (copies Spine rotation), top parented to Spine (copies Chest rotation).
Add 2 vertex groups named after helper bones before weight painting in pic 3-4
Then import into Unity and..⤵️
Stylized anisotropic hair breakdown, thought I'd share here as I don't have time to make a video atm. Here's short version:
Anisotropic reflection, vertical overlapping UV's, simple noise texture with faded edges, generated normalmap, opacity gradient to make tips fade.
