A 2005 state-designed worm designed to corrupt physics simulations sat undetected on VirusTotal for nearly a decade. Fast16, intercepted executable files at the kernel level and silently rewrote floating-point calculations to make them produce slightly wrong answers. Targets: high-precision engineering suites used for structural analysis, crash simulations, and physical process modeling, including LS-DYNA, a tool cited in reports on Iran's nuclear weapons research. The sabotage vector relied on deployment of the driver across a network via worm, corrupting calculations on every machine, and eliminating the possibility of cross-checking results against a clean system. Stuxnet got the documentary. Fast16 got twenty years of nothing. https://t.co/3qfJMziXVd
This is unbelievable. You gotta watch this and see what a rude liar @willchamberlain is. He thinks if he contorts his face enough we will just believe his nonsense. @joekent16jan19 is an American hero.

They tried to take away your independent choice for president and I'm not going to let them.

Sir Roger Penrose is without a doubt one of the most brilliant minds of all time. I'm not surprised at all that this idea which he published almost 10 years ago is now getting some experimental verification.
When Roger Penrose came out with the idea that the human brain uses quantum effects in microtubules and that was the origin of consciousness, I thought the idea was a little crazy. Well, maybe it wasn't that crazy after all

@robinmonotti All right don’t get hung up on “peer reviewed” . Just make it reproducible facts or something firm … whatever you want to call it. “Not bullshit” in other words . Myself, and perhaps others, are curious about how it might work. Also, relinking should not be that taxing. 🙄
@robinmonotti 99 trillion people giving a thumbs up to a claim with no backing does not make it true or correct.
Why not post at least a link to peer reviewed facts etc that back up the claim? Give thinking open minded people something to think on for goodness sake.
@dhh Exactly. Pure JS stands perfectly well on its own. There is no “need” for TS. It’s all just hype and bullshit so nasty MS can sink their claws into a good thing they don’t control so they can ruin it by turning it into bloatware like everything else they peddle.
@dhh Agreed. The cost of TS far outweighs any benefit for any programmer of moderate skill or better. It’s just more bloat and bullshit from the masters of bloat and bullshit.
A wonderful thing about running for President is that every idiotic thing you’ve ever said surfaces on the internet for you to look at. A video is making the rounds of me saying in 2005 that red states have a higher murder rate than blue states, more teen pregnancies, etc. While it may have been technically accurate, that kind of polarizing rhetoric — the red-blue blame game — is the last thing our country needs today. Whoever is to “blame” for gun violence or teen pregnancy, it isn’t the Republicans or the Democrats. It is both and it is neither. Our problems arise from a deeper source than mere party difference, and the solutions must draw on a deeper source as well.
I cringe when I revisit my days as a partisan warrior. Later, and especially through Covid, I came to realize that both Left and Right subscribe to unconscious orthodoxies that freeze our country in a holding pattern, actually a downward spiral. We are addicted to blame. It’s tempting to score political points that way, but we have to move beyond that and see, even in our opponents, a genuine desire to heal this nation so that all can thrive.
In the spirit of patriotism, of fairness, and of good conscience to grant @RobertKennedyJr Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. the Secret Service protection that his circumstances so obviously warrant.
