Presidents of IAGS call on Prof. Schabas to sever his ties to the #Myanmar govt and to pursue his goals regarding int'l law in a manner that does not contribute to further crimes against humanity, including #genocide, against the #Rohingya people.
"Justice is coming." It is getting harder and harder for the #UNSC, especially the #Chinese delegation, to ignore their Responsibility to Protect the Rohingya

Killing of #Rohingya in #Buthidaung by #Myanmar military this morning tells the world that Myanmar is not going to follow the order of Provisional Measures by @CIJ_ICJ. Rohingya need international protection to prevent further killings by Myanmar.

"... denying their history, denying the legitimacy of the right to live where they live, these are all warning signs that mean that it’s not frivolous to envisage the use of the term genocide.” -- William Schabas @WilliamSchabas1, March 2013 #Rohingya#Myanmar#Genocide@CIJ_ICJ
Today is Human Rights Day, celebrating 71 years of the UDHR.Ironically, hearings at the ICJ starts today. Where are the rights of the Rohingya? Rakhine?Kachin?Mon?Chin?Shan?Kayin? And all other minorities of Myanmar?
“The #Gambia will be asking the court to order #Myanmar to cease all acts of #genocide against the #Rohingya.”
But a challenge remains here: how can Myanmar stop actions they don’t acknowledge as genocide denial?

Enam Uddin, 12-years old #Rohingya#genocide survivor is thanking ICJ & ICC. His appreciation to everyone working to restore the rights of #Rohingya.
