@makemytrip This is extremely disappointing. Booking ID NN2AMMZY17981732080.
Your agent initially confirmed a refund of ₹8,000–₹9,000, and based on that commitment, I approved the cancellation and reshuffled my travel plans.
I was then told the cancellation couldn’t be processed due to a system glitch and that I would receive a call back within 24 hours. No call was received.
Today, I’m being told I will receive only ₹5,500.
I should not be financially impacted because of a system issue and a missed callback. Please review the original call and honor the refund amount initially committed to me.
@makemytrip — please escalate and resolve this.
🚨 CONSUMER FRAUD ALERT — PLEASE BE CAREFUL
My experience with @amazonIN@SwiggyIndia has raised serious concerns about how fraud cases are handled.
I opened the Swiggy app to check an item. I did NOT place an order. Shortly afterward, I received an automated call impersonating Amazon from +1 734-869-5787, claiming someone was trying to access my Amazon account. I was instructed to enter an OTP, and immediately afterward ₹19,596 was charged to my Amazon Pay Later account.
I reported it to Amazon immediately and contacted 1930. I was told that 1930 had no provision for handling an Amazon Pay Later case of this nature.
Since then, despite repeatedly contacting Amazon, I have received no meaningful investigation or resolution. I am repeatedly sent a link to submit my details — the same type of link I have already submitted — but no one actually contacts me or takes ownership of the case.
@SwiggyIndia has told me they do not call customers for OTPs. I understand that. That is not my allegation. My concern is how a fraudulent call occurred immediately after I used the Swiggy app, and whether there was any security, account, data or third-party issue that needs to be investigated.
My ₹19,596 is still disputed, and I am requesting a full refund/reversal and a proper fraud investigation.
I am sharing this publicly so other customers understand: if something similar happens, don’t assume that reporting fraud automatically means someone will investigate or take ownership of your case.
@amazonIN@SwiggyIndia — customers deserve more than automated links and being sent from one support channel to another. They deserve an actual investigation and a clear resolution when money is fraudulently charged.
Please investigate. Please take ownership. Please protect your customers.
@AmazonHelp@amazonIN@AmazonHelp its been more then 12 hours and no one from Amazon has gotten back to me, It seems you were well aware about the fraud and you don’t want to deal with it
@amazonIN -You are harassing me with repeated daily communications while giving me the same runaround every day.
I have already reported this fraud multiple times. I am not going to keep opening the same links and filling out the same information repeatedly, especially when the exact same link was already sent to me 24 hours earlier.
₹19,596 was fraudulently charged to my Amazon Pay Later account after someone impersonated an automated call from Amazon and obtained an OTP through a fraudulent call. I reported the incident immediately and also contacted 1930.
I am not accepting liability for this fraudulent charge, and I will NOT pay ₹19,596 that was fraudulently charged to my Pay Later account. I am requesting a proper fraud investigation, escalation to your senior/fraud team, and a full reversal/refund of the ₹19,596.
Please stop sending me in circles and provide an actual resolution. I have cooperated and reported the matter; now I expect Amazon to investigate it and take responsibility for resolving the fraudulent
@SwiggyIndia I understand that Swiggy does not call customers asking for OTPs. That is NOT what I am claiming.
My concern is very specific: I opened the Swiggy app, searched/checked an item, did NOT place an order, and immediately after that I received a fraudulent automated call from someone impersonating Amazon. Within that interaction, an OTP was obtained and ₹19,596 was debited from my Amazon Pay Later account.
I am asking Swiggy to investigate how a fraudulent actor could have potentially known about or targeted my activity immediately after I used your app.
I am NOT saying the call came from Swiggy. I am asking whether there was any data breach, account compromise, third-party integration, tracking/security issue, or other mechanism that could explain the timing.
Please don’t simply tell me “we don’t call for OTPs.” I already understand that. That does not explain how this happened immediately after my activity on the Swiggy app.
I need this escalated to your security/fraud investigation team and a concrete explanation of whether my account/activity was exposed in any way.
@amazonindia I am also still seeking a full refund/reversal of the ₹19,596 fraudulently debited from my Amazon Pay Later account.
Hi, no one has reached out to me regarding this matter until now. I also want to make it very clear that I do not expect to be held responsible for paying the amount that I was defrauded of. I have already reported the issue and have been trying to get assistance, but no one has properly addressed it so far.
@AmazonHelp@amazonIN@SwiggyIndia@Cyberdost
This is becoming extremely frustrating. I am being sent the same generic link that was already sent to me 18 hours ago, despite the fact that I have already contacted Amazon support and explained the entire incident.
@AmazonHelp — I have already spoken to your team. Simply sending me another link to fill in my details is NOT a resolution. ₹19,596 was fraudulently debited from my Amazon Pay Later account following a call from someone impersonating Amazon. I am requesting a proper fraud investigation and full refund/reversal of ₹19,596.
@SwiggyIndia — I have already explained that I am NOT claiming Swiggy called me for an OTP. I understand that Swiggy does not ask customers for OTPs.
My concern is that I opened the Swiggy app, checked an item, did NOT place an order, and immediately afterward received a fraudulent call impersonating Amazon, followed by the unauthorized debit.
I am asking Swiggy to investigate whether there was any account/data/security issue, third-party integration, or other mechanism that could explain this timing. Saying “we don’t call for OTPs” does not answer that question.
I have already reported the matter to 1930. I am now publicly requesting @AmazonHelp and @SwiggyIndia to escalate this to their respective fraud/security teams and provide a concrete explanation and resolution.
@Cyberdost Please take note of this case involving an alleged impersonation scam and financial fraud. I am seeking assistance in getting the matter properly investigated and the ₹19,596 recovered.
I do not want another automated link. I want an actual investigation, escalation and refund.
