Earlier, I was of the impression that those who work by the clock are of no good use.

They never do any good work.

But she was different.

She hardly took tea or coffee breaks. She did not waste time in banter during office hours.

She hardly spoke to anyone during office hours unless it was about work.

She was doing more work in 9 hours than most people who were clocking 13 hours a day.

In every interview I stress-tested people by asking them what if they had to work for 14-15 hours each day for weeks.

I am glad that I forgot to ask her this question in the interview.

You can do great at your job even if you work by the clock. You need to be focused and disciplined.

Ease of doing Business in India:

1. Take loans of Rs 1000 crores
2. Transfer Rs 100 crores to your personal account by some legal or illegal route
3. Deploy remaining Rs 900 crores in the business
4. If things go well then you will grow otherwise business will become 0
5. Bank approaches you for loan repayment
6. Go to NCLT stating default on loan repayment
7. NCLT will give an order of repaying only Rs 5 crores which can be done from Rs 100 crores which is there in personal account
8. Remaining Rs 95 crores is all yours to enjoy your life
