One thing i like in Vijay is he rewards loyalty (Venkat), effort (Ramesh) and people who recognized his potential ahead of others (Praveen) ignoring petty ilk related reasons. Seeman and He have demolished the political untouchability of our ilk. Requires guts as well as a broad mind. Hats off to both of them.

After these 3 successes, I am seeing a number of Gen Z and Millennials among our ilk ready to take the plunge in public life actively after 6 decades. A big change.

Hope D parties who wish to reinvent as well as the new wannabe party of Annamalai take note and suitably reward our ilk in relation with our 3% numbers - 7 AS tickets atleast and atleast 1 LS ticket from hereon.

What i like about Annamalai?

He takes the road less taken.

After IIM, he could have chosen a lucrative corporate career. Yet, he chose civil services.

After quitting civil services, he could have chosen a more safer consulting role but chose politics.

Even in politics, he could have chosen to stay in KA. He would have become Udupi MP or Bglore Central MP easily. Yet he chose a challenging TN.

Even now, he could have become a Central minister but once again choosing a more tougher role - going alone.

Amazing risk taking ability. Hope it pays off big in the coming years.

Vijay has successfully created a social engineering formula - Middle Class plus SCs plus Minorities - you can call it MSM formula - roughly 35% of populace.

Huge opportunity exists to re-engineer and consolidate the remaining 65% - Hindu OBC vote bank.

MGR and Jaya did that many times in the past.

Scope for another charismatic caste neutral leader to emerge and unite say two-third of this 65% exists.

Tall ask but not impossible. Requires great efforts though. Situation in TN akin to late 80s in UP when both Cong and JD collapsed paving way for Bjp, SP and BSP.
