Mithun Da played his own role in BJP's victory in Bengal. After 2021 when likes of Babul Supriyo jumped into TMC, Mithun Da fought Mamta and her cabal on the ground.

Relentlessly kept exposing the TMC misdeeds. Even though he didn't contest either as MP or MLA, he was there at every BJP rally, addressing the masses.

Worked like a true Karyakarta. Unlike some Reel Superstars didn't run away from the battlefield.

But then that has been Mithun Da always for you, he made it on his own in Bollywood without any godfathers, big banners backing him.

Dismissed as a poor man's Amitabh Bachan, he became a superstar in his own right during the 80s with a cult following of his own.

Mocked and trolled for a whole lot of trashy movies in the 90s, he came back in 2000s with some great performances.

Mithun Da has always been a fighter with a never say die spirit. And a man with a Heart of Gold.

He adopted a baby girl abandoned in a dustbin, bought her up, gave her a life.

Mithun Da is the true hero both on and off screen.
