Found these beauties around the school I work at ^_^

It's been a while since I posted, but I found a Luna moth at the school playground where I work. The rain had pinned it to the ground. Too weak to fly, it was at the end of its life cycle. I let it live out its life dry. Afterwards, I pinned it. This is my first insect pinning!

Scyther learned a new attack! #mantis #entomology #pokemon

Sometimes we feel like the ghost of or former selves and some times we just molt into something new. (All puns intentional and not apologized for) #mantis #molting

#entomologists does anyone know how that thing could’ve gotten in my tank when it’s been locked for a few days?

Part 3

Students went bug hunting, I need to get better at macro photography! Apparently when you use your phone to get a picture of the screen that you’re trying to use your cheap digital microscope on, you don’t get the best quality photos ^_^suggestions welcomed!

Found this mantis on a window at school and caught them for observation, afterwards we returned them back to the wild.

I am trying to make a 2nd grade friendly visual dictionary about bugs. ^_^ Know I am learning about mouthparts! When I started teaching I never thought I would become interested in bugs! #entomology #bugs #bees

I found this gal a few years back tuckered out. I gave her orange juice in a bucket and let her fly out on her own time. (If this is taboo please let me know)

[Hans Guardado @Raging_Axolotls]

@VABVOX I hope puppy licks cheer you up!

[Hans Guardado @Raging_Axolotls]

More pic I snapped of the wheel bug!

[Hans Guardado @Raging_Axolotls]

Look what popped up at recess! The munchkins found him and we moved this assassin bug to a safe place!

[Hans Guardado @Raging_Axolotls]

Found this guy in my classroom! May not be exotic but it was still cool! I'm sure the munchkins would love to see this!

I have learn to meet my learners where they are at and to appreciate what they bring. They all have a different light they shine and regardless of what is being demanded seeing them grow keeps me grateful

THIS IS SPARTA! #ArachTober

[Hans Guardado @Raging_Axolotls]

I want to join the #ArachTober fun!
