Rain's been hammering the windows all night while I've been building out this back alley. You know the type flickering neon reflecting in oily puddles, steam rising from the grates like the city won't stop breathing, that heavy smell of wet trash and old cigarettes hanging in the air. Doorways that have seen too many people who never got back up.
This is the real starting point in Rags to Richest. Not some heroic moment. Just cold, wet, and wondering how you're gonna survive another day with nothing.
Solo dev life at this hour is brutal, but the streets are finally starting to feel right. Heavy. Unforgiving. Alive in the worst way.

It's 3am and I can't fucking sleep. I'm still drawing the streets of the city, and all I can think about is how many people are stuck exactly where Rags starts - with nothing but balls and a dream.

The rain hasn't stopped in days. The city stinks of regret and burnt grease. And down the alley, tucked between a boarded liquor store and a forgotten pawnshop... there’s a diner being born. Not open yet. Hell, not even finished. But you can already smell the stale cigarettes in the wallpaper. You can feel the ghosts pacing behind the counter, waiting for a reason to matter. Broken neon buzzes like a dying fly. No customers, no waitresses just dreams and drywall dust. But Dine is getting its shape! Still under development. But this place? It’s got blood in its pipes and stories in its grease traps. Give it time. It’ll feed you more than just food. Follow my journey !
