@msaifkhalid@MichaelKugelman@AJEnglish So your piece starts with labelling terrorists as “armed fighters”.
Would you call the 9/11 terrorists “recently trained pilots”?
At least try to be subtle about your ISPR sponsored agenda!
India has a lot to learn from Iran's Information Warfare.
Bureaucrats doing pressers once a day in the evening is a very 'sarkari' way of communicating information in times of war.
In the gap of 12+ hours, the enemy has already made 10 more claims that have gone unanswered.
You need to be on your game 24X7. If a claim has been made, it has to be countered within the next hour.
A three paragraph bureaucratic 'statement' with all the 'right phrases' and 'language' only pleases other bureaucrats. No one else.
That is not the communication medium of 2026.
It is memes, funny videos, modern lingo and witty comebacks. That is what travels and reaches more people.
It humanizes you as a government.
A statement has no life - it is dull and boring. But a meme or a funny clip has personality. A witty comeback has personality.
And personality always trumps function in a war of perception.
The Iranians have managed to generate a positive perception through their digital comms over the last month. People all over the world have shared their comebacks, memes and Lego videos.
In the minds of many of those people, Iran may now be a cool country (?), and maybe not as oppressive as they thought(?). Maybe not as brutal as they thought? As barbaric or uncivilized?
It doesn't matter whether any of this is true or not.
That shift in perception is where the information war is won.
Birds are dinosaurs.
And not in the sense that they’re just distant relatives or descendants.
What scientists mean is that dinosaurs never truly went extinct. One group survived the mass extinction and continued evolving.
Today, we call them birds.
So every pigeon on the street, every chicken, every eagle you see… is literally part of the dinosaur family tree.
Dinosaurs didn’t disappear.
They’re still here — flying above us every day. 🦖🐦
After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
Donald trump wanted to paint the White House. He called three contractors for quotes.
The Chinese guy quoted $3 million. The European guy quoted $7 million. The Indian guy quoted $10 million.
Trump asked the Chinese guy “How did you quote $3 million?” The Chinese guy replied “$1 million for paint, $1 million for labor and $1 million profit.”
Trump asked the European guy. He replied: “$3 million for paint, $2 million for labor and $2 million profit.”
Trump asked the Indian guy. He replied: “$4 million for you. $3 million for me. And we will give $3 million to the Chinese guy and ask him to paint it.”
The Indian guy got the contract. 😄
@TheMiddleStump Agreed. Test Cricket is the real deal. But why is the ECB further shortening the format with a gimmick like 'The Hundred'? The inventors of the game should protect its purity?
