A case of alleged police misconduct has emerged in Madhya Pradesh. According to reports, a man returning home late at night with his wife and children was stopped by police during a routine check. It is alleged that officers took the key from his motorcycle and behaved in an abusive manner.

The man claims that instead of listening to his explanation, the police assaulted him, leading to public anger and criticism over the incident.

The senior authorities in @MPPoliceDeptt should take immediate cognizance of this matter and conduct a fair and impartial investigation. Police officers are public servants entrusted with protecting citizens, and their salaries are funded by taxpayers.

If the allegations are found to be true after due process, strict disciplinary action should be taken against those responsible.

A young man was returning home with his wife and little daughter after watching a night show. Around 1 a.m., during a police checking operation in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh, his bike was stopped and the key was also taken away.

According to the young man, when the police personnel started misbehaving with him, he began recording a video on his mobile phone. During the recording, he can be heard saying, “You are hitting me and then lying about it.”

After this, the police officer allegedly became even more aggressive and started beating the young man. His wife and little daughter were also present at the scene and witnessed the incident.

The police, however, claim that the bike's front number plate was broken and that the young man was not cooperating during questioning. Later, after his identity was verified through a local councillor, he was released.

The question is: those whose duty is to make citizens feel safe and secure—how can the same people behave in this manner?

A Chhattisgarh man travelling with his wife and child was allegedly assaulted for recording a police check. This is deeply disturbing and unacceptable.

Recording public officials performing their duties is not a crime. A camera should never be treated as a threat. The rule of law demands accountability, restraint, and professionalism from those entrusted with enforcing it.

A swift, impartial investigation must be conducted, and strict action should be taken against any personnel found guilty. No citizen should face intimidation or violence for seeking transparency.

एक युवक अपनी पत्नी और छोटी बच्ची के साथ नाइट शो देखकर घर लौट रहा था। रात करीब 1 बजे छत्तीसगढ़ के धमतरी जिले में पुलिस चेकिंग के दौरान उसकी बाइक रोक ली गई और चाभी भी ले ली गई!

युवक के मुताबिक उससे बदतमीजी की जाने लगी तो उसने मोबाइल से वीडियो रिकॉर्ड करना शुरू कर दिया। इसी दौरान उसने कहा कि तुम थप्पड़ मारकर झूठ बोल रहे हो।

इसके बाद पुलिस वाला और गुस्सा हो गया और युवक के साथ मारपीट करने लगा। उस समय उसकी पत्नी और छोटी बच्ची भी वहीं मौजूद थीं।

पुलिस का कहना है कि बाइक की आगे की नंबर प्लेट टूटी हुई थी और युवक पूछताछ में सहयोग नहीं कर रहा था। बाद में स्थानीय पार्षद से पहचान की पुष्टि होने के बाद उसे छोड़ दिया गया।

बताइए, जिनका काम नागरिकों को सुरक्षित महसूस करवाना है, वही लोग ऐसा व्यवहार कर रहे हैं..!

लेकिन इसके बावजूद पुलिसकर्मी नहीं माने।उसकी बाइक की चाबी निकाल ली गई और उसके साथ गलत व्यवहार किया गया,

मेरा मानना है कि जब व्यक्ति ने फिल्म की टिकट दिखा दी थी और उसके साथ उसकी पत्नी व बच्चे भी थे, तो पुलिस को उसके साथ ऐसा व्यवहार नहीं करना चाहिए था,

पुलिस का काम आम लोगों की सुरक्षा और सहायता करना होता है, न कि उनके साथ दुर्व्यवहार करना।"

नहीं, ऐसे पुलिस अधिकारी छत्तीसगढ़ की पहचान नहीं हो सकते। मैं छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री से अनुरोध करता हूँ कि ऐसे पुलिसकर्मियों को या तो उचित प्रशिक्षण दिया जाए या फिर सेवा से हटाया जाए। @ChhattisgarhCMO

ब्रिटिश राज भले ही खत्म हो गया हो, लेकिन उसकी हुकूमत वाली मानसिकता आज भी देश के कई पुलिस तंत्रों में ज़िंदा दिखाई देती है। नागरिकों को अधिकारों वाले स्वतंत्र नागरिक नहीं, बल्कि हुक्म मानने वाले प्रजा की तरह देखा जाता है।
