Simple math on #2000note

2000 rs note circulation is worth about 3 lac crores

Total bank branches is 1.5 lac

On avg each branch has to accept deposit or change just 2 cr. worth of 2000 notes

There are >4 months or about 80 days time

Each day you need each branch to do 250000 or 125 notes to be replaced.

A 5 min per day per branch average job.

Even if you assume the 30000 branches in top cities, even then it is a half hour job per branch per day

Of course these are just averages but it isnt such a huge one as it is being made out
