#Raiders TE Michael Mayer contract: 3 years, 45M w/ 22.5M GTD
2026: 5.7M
2027: 13.4M, 17.8M dead
2028: 14.1M, 4.5M dead
2029: 14.5M, 2.2M dead
All 2026/2027 is guaranteed (22.5M), 7.5M of 2028 GTD on 3rd day of 2027. Dead cap goes from 4.5 to 12M. Essentially 3 year, 29 option
It's floated around a lot but this concept describes what #Raiders DC Rob Leonard will do
LB quick blitz, run a re-designed version of a Jet Torch Stunt w/ Fatukasi looping to the A gap & Walker to the right. Pressure the RB to pick up LB, freeing the 4i inside for the sack
Firstly, DRAG THE TOE Malik Willis (how to avoid the ball spraying like this) though in this case good he didn't. There's a really good chance this could've been a pick 6 for the #Raiders & Stukes with a good throw
#Raiders 2nd round SAF Treydan Stukes is going to be a very good NFL FS. Great athlete, but shows good instincts as well
Rotates down, to take cloud keeping hips vertical and watches Willis. Lightning quick reaction, smooth COD, nearly gets his 2nd pick of the day but bad throw
Expect to see more of this concept from the #Raiders, Nailor runs a great dig, gets separation at the top of the concept. Cousins has a window to rip it and possibly get 20+ yards
Mayer peels off, Dolphins LB slow to react, and LV still gets 14. Will work well with Bowers
#Raiders show C1 shell, rotate into a C2 look. Miami attacks well with a hole shot to the right sideline
Douglas gets up and behind Stokes, who plays the flat. Treydan Stukes sees the play and isn't able to get over in time, makes TD saving tackle.
Great 2nd half adjustment from #Raiders DC Rob Leonard with Dean on Willis in clear scramble situation.
Double sim blitz look, Walker takes the TE to the flat, Dean drops into a spy. Willis bails, absurd closing speed and great angle for the sack by Dean.
#Raiders, 3rd/1. Nakobe Dean (17) does a phenomenal job staying patient, trusts his initial burst and SAQ. Fullback takes Stokes, leaving alley for Dean who slips the blocks and gets to the LOS for the stop.
When healthy, Nakobe Dean is a top 15 ILB in the NFL
A lot of props to #Raiders EDGE Patrick Johnson here, 72 yard punt by AJ Cole, gets off his block and gets downfield 50+ yards to make a clean open field tackle. Not a common thing for an EDGE to do
Overpursues but Dareke Young (81, wide left) is FLYING
The 2025 #Raiders finished
- 14th in Havock Rate
- 14th in EPA/play
- 9th in Success Rate allowed
- 14th in EPA/Pass Att
- 3rd in EPA/Rush
- 9th in Success Rate/Pass Att
- 12th in Success Rate/Rush Att
- 22nd Yards Allowed
- 21st Points Allowed
The #Raiders finished week 1 defensively ranked
- #1 Havock rate (Turnovers, sacks, TFL, PBU)
- 4th in EPA/play
- 3rd in Success Rate allowed
- 7th in EPA/Pass Att
- 3rd in EPA/Rush
- 6th in Success Rate/Pass Att
- 1st in Success Rate/Rush
Rob Leonard must continue it vs LAC
The Dolphins did not run at #Raiders EDGE Maxx Crosby once on Sunday
They ran at DT Folo Fatukasi 3 times resulting in a TFL & -0.88 EPA/play, when running outside the LT at Kwity Paye they averaged -0.44 EPA/play and 2 TFL.
#Raiders CB Darien Porter's 1.3 yards/separation allowed ranked 9th among all DBs in week 1
Kwity Paye's 6 stops ranked 1st among all DT & Foley Fatukasi's 4 stops ranked 10th. The Raiders were one of two teams to rank two defenders inside the top 10, ahd the only DT/EDGE combo
@E5Nasty It's both man & zone, PFF's charted targets/yards are always a bit weird and I don't fully agree with them. I'll get the man/zone splits this evening
@Ricardo80211503@FB_FilmAnalysis Yeah the DL didn't get a ton of initial pressure, the DBs did a lot of the lifting. Which is also a good thing in itself, Raiders were running a fairly high rate of stunts and twists
