Advocate Robinson’s biggest concern is that when Jersey decides to deprive some children of their freedoms through curfews or limiting internet access it needs to be approved by the High Court in the Uk.

Advocate Robinson says this is currently not happening

Advocate Darry Robinson explains that court orders to send Jersey children to the UK have no legal basis in the UK.

This means Jersey children in the UK are not subject to legal safeguards like regular visits form a social worker or an independent reviewing officer

There are concerns that the human rights of Jersey children sent to the UK for care are not being protected due to gaps in the law

@ChefWillH Medical, allergies, ethics & lifestyle choices. All more common now. I used to work in a school & an after school club. All staff take a training course in food prep & handling, & we encountered all those issues with children & adults, the whole list !
