@NjFunky Have you seen the queues at Leeds? Also it can lead to false allegations, e.g. a passenger was given hassle when trying to buy a ticket from Burley Park on their onward TPE service
@htbuk1992 @mitchell_hurd@RailUKForums@TLRailUK @AnthonySmithTF @LonTravelWatch@ABCommuters@seatsixtyone What Hurd says about penalty fares is nonsense; he doesn't understand the Penalty Fares rules or Conditions of Travel.
However, regarding your comment, it certainly is the case that similar disputes regarding ticket validity occur in other countries with nationalised operators.
Is this how the rail industry should be treating it's customers?

@TLRailUK how do you justify a £100 Penalty Fare for taking the fastest route?
Is your intention to encourage car travel?
@AnthonySmithTF @LonTravelWatch@ABCommuters@seatsixtyone
@StephenRhB@paul_winginit It's often the case that reservations would be available if honoured during disruption, but you should never pay any extra as your original ticket would definitely remain valid.
@JonNeale@paul_winginit@grandad1963 True; sadly the SNP have been able to implement their agenda of introducing the language into areas where it was never widely spoken. It's wrong and an organisation like Scotrail should never be a party to such political posturing.
@paul_winginit@grandad1963 Nothing wrong with them in areas where it was spoken, but the SNP's drive to invent Gaelic names for borders areas is silly.
@type1bri@Sea1kay@NotYOLOSmh quite! ticket office staff are prevented from offering the cheapest combination of tickets and their systems won't offer the wider range of routes you can get online
