A Dublin based mother who travels fortnightly to the UK for access visits with her son was arrested this morning by police in Manchester airport and was still in custody several hours later in the day according to social media posts by relatives.

The mother has waged a social media campaign in recent weeks giving details of how her son was removed from her care and calling for him to be returned to his home in Ireland.

Disclosing what happens in Ireland’s secret family courts is regarded as a breach of the in camera rule and carries sanctions of a fine of up to €50,000 or a prison sentence.

The state abuse of mothers and children didn’t end with the closure of the last Mother and Baby Home, it continues to the present day and one of the agents of the abuse is the Family Court System
