On my podcast, Chintan Shah broke down this decision.

For years, his family had paid a ₹5 Lakh annual premium for a life cover of just ₹50 Lakhs.

When he finally calculated the math, he realised the policies were only generating a 5.6% return.

Since inflation was running at ~7%, they were literally losing their purchasing power every single year.

Here’s what he did then:

-> He immediately bought a pure term plan of ₹50 Lakhs each for his father and himself.

-> The combined annual premium for both of these term covers was less than ₹25,000.

-> He took the huge difference in saved premiums and diverted it directly into equity mutual funds.

-> Within just three years, that newly deployed capital compounded at a staggering 35%.

-> Even today, that core portfolio continues to comfortably deliver a 14.5% CAGR.

Financial peace is never achieved by mixing your insurance with your investments.

It is built by keeping your life cover extremely cheap, and letting your core wealth compound in the right asset class.

3 young dynamic kids. Managing a Bhojanalay in Noida City Centre. One girl and her two brothers. The smallest one Sharan is making hot hot rotis. The girl is super dynamic and brilliant at speaking and marketing.
