Punjab is becoming safer every day! Alhamdolillah, our strategic crackdown on crime is yielding historic results. Comparing Jan/Feb 2025 to Jan/Feb 2026, we have achieved a massive across-the-board reduction in major crimes:

🔹 Dacoity: Down by 77%
🔹 Kidnapping for Ransom: Down by 54%
🔹 Robbery: Down by 39%
🔹 Murder: Down by 31%
🔹 Vehicle Theft: Down by 17%

From Dacoity to Street Crime, the downward trend is consistent and clear. We will not rest until every citizen feels secure. Well done, CCD & Punjab Police!

پنجاب میں امن و امان کی صورتحال میں نمایاں بہتری آئی ہے اور حکومتی اقدامات کے مثبت نتائج سامنے آ رہے ہیں۔ سال 2025 کے مقابلے میں 2026 کے ابتدائی دو ماہ کے دوران سنگین جرائم کی شرح میں درج ذیل تاریخی کمی ریکارڈ کی گئی ہے:

♦️:تاوان کے لیے اغوا میں 54 فیصد کمی
♦️:شاہراہوں پر چھینا جھپٹی میں 39 فیصد کمی
♦️:قتل کے واقعات میں 31 فیصد کمی
♦️:گاڑیوں کی چوری میں 17 فیصد کمی

یہ غیر معمولی کامیابی پنجاب پولیس کی دن رات کی محنت اور جدید ترین اسٹریٹجک پلاننگ کا ثبوت ہے۔ ڈکیتی سے لے کر سٹریٹ کرائم تک ہر شعبے میں کمی واضح ہے۔ ہمارا عزم ہے کہ جب تک ہر شہری خود کو مکمل محفوظ محسوس نہ کرے، یہ مشن جاری رہے گا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ کے فضل و کرم سے ہم ایک محفوظ اور پرامن پنجاب کی جانب تیزی سے گامزن ہیں جہاں قانون کی حکمرانی ہر صورت مقدم ہوگی۔

Across all districts of Punjab, areas prone to ponding, where rainwater accumulates during the rainy season, have been carefully identified. To minimize the risk of urban flooding and to strengthen the capacity of cities to manage stormwater effectively, a landmark initiative has been launched.

For the first time in the history of Punjab, 358 Underground Storage Tanks (UGSs), including roadside underground storage systems equipped with recharge wells, are being constructed across the province. This major infrastructure project, with an estimated cost of Rs. 33 billion, will provide a combined storage capacity of approximately 94 million gallons of rainwater.

These facilities will not only help mitigate urban flooding during heavy rainfall but will also support groundwater recharge and promote more sustainable water management in our cities.
