A group of young activists in Gujarat associated with gau seva and other Hindu activism work are being harassed in Gujarat for opposing demotion of some temples

What happened: A few days ago, Umangbhai Patel and Jayveer Joshi were going to submit a memorandum to authorities requesting to halt demolition of some temples in Khambat

They were stopped by Jatin Patel, brother of the local MLA Chirag Patel, and beaten up. As per Umangbhai, Jatin told them how dare they make issue of the demolitions without consulting him first

Not only this, the young activists now have a case filed them against them under his political pressure

Umangbhai told me over the phone that Chirag Patel recently left Congress to join BJP. On the other hand, Jayveer is a long-time BJP loyalist and holds a post in the party

Requesting @CMOGuj, @GujaratPolice for a fair investigation free of local political pressures
