Why this govt will survive, coz they know when to swallow their pride, they know if they stay put, eventually the protesters will shoot themselves in the foot by abusing/vandalising, become a nuisance to general public by affecting public amenities, public transport. Show the police being beaten. Let the mob make mistakes. It often ends with a violent incident. Shaheen bagh ended with Delhi riots. Farm protest became a localised protest after the Red Fort violence.

They believe in natural evaporation of public sympathy for such protests. They also know such protests are like the pressure cooker whistle. When enough pressure builds, it makes noise for a bit, then it settles, but the cooker doesn’t get blown apart. That pressure cooker is this govt. They keep cooking.
