This deer was taken by Steven Moody this past season in North Alabama.

Unfortunately, Steven was diagnosed with esophageal cancer that had spread to his liver and lymph nodes. Steven was so excited to bring his deer to be scored by us at the World Deer Expo in Birmingham, but sadly, he lost his battle with cancer the Friday before.

One of Steven’s friends, Brandon Williams, brought the deer by to be scored, and it ended up receiving an official Buckmasters score of 170 1/8”

Hats off to you, Brandon, for seeing it through for your friend. Rest easy, Steven. 🙌🏽

She made America say "How rude!" every Friday night. By 22, she was hiding a meth addiction from the world.

For eight seasons, Jodie Sweetin grew up in America's living rooms.

As Stephanie Tanner on *Full House*, she was funny, fearless, and impossible not to love. From the age of five, the set became the only world she really knew.

Then, in 1995, it all stopped.

The cameras disappeared.

So did the routine that had shaped her entire childhood.

What viewers never saw was that her story had always been more complicated.

Adopted as an infant after both biological parents went to prison, she carried questions about identity and belonging long before fame ever arrived.

At fourteen, she had her first drink.

She later admitted she blacked out almost immediately.

Experimentation soon became addiction.

Alcohol led to cocaine, ecstasy, and eventually methamphetamine.

The public saw a smiling former child star.

The reality was very different.

In her memoir *unSweetined*, Sweetin revealed she was using meth in bathroom stalls at premieres, spending thousands of dollars every week on drugs, and lying to audiences while speaking about recovery.

One speech said everything was getting better.

It wasn't.

She later admitted she delivered it while coming down from a two-day binge.

The tears were real.

The recovery wasn't.

The years that followed brought failed marriages, repeated relapses, rehab, and addiction that consumed nearly every part of her life.

Then came the moment she couldn't ignore.

After the birth of her daughter in 2008, she admitted driving after drinking with her baby in the car.

Child services became involved.

That was her breaking point.

On December 7, 2008, she chose sobriety.

Not perfection.

Just the difficult decision to begin again.

There were setbacks, including another relapse after prescribed painkillers in 2013.

She fought back once more.

And she kept moving forward.

Sweetin trained as a drug and alcohol counsellor, worked at a rehabilitation centre, and dedicated herself to helping others facing the same battle.

In 2016, she returned as Stephanie Tanner in *Fuller House*, introducing herself to a new generation.

Years later, an ADHD diagnosis helped explain why her mind had always felt impossible to quiet.

Today, she is more than fifteen years sober, speaking openly about recovery, relapse, and the long road between them.

Her journey was never neat.

It was painful.

It was public.

And it was real.

Jodie Sweetin didn't just survive the spotlight.

She learned how to stand in it without hiding.

That isn't simply a comeback.

It's proof that surviving can become the greatest role of all.

No canopy and no landing gear, just a Warthog and a wingman who refused to quit. July 20, 2017, over Michigan, Capt. Brett DeVries is on a training strafe when the A-10’s 30mm GAU-8 malfunctions. A massive blast of overpressure rips through the jet, blowing the entire canopy off at 325 knots. The wind slams him back into the seat as maps and checklists go flying. Next 2 of 3 radios became inoperable, and then the nose gear jams and refuses to come down. Most pilots would have ejected, but DeVries keeps flying. His wingman, Maj. Shannon Vickers, stays locked on his wing the entire time, talking him through every step as they divert to Alpena. With the nose gear stuck and unable to extend, DeVries retracts the main landing gear and brings the Hog in for a clean belly landing. It's the first A-10 ever to land with both the canopy gone and the gear up. He climbs out unhurt. The jet is later rebuilt and flies again, and DeVries receives the Distinguished Flying Cross for the feat. No ejection and no crash, just titanium, training, and the absolute refusal to leave a wingman behind. That’s professionalism. That’s the Hog.🇺🇸🫡

My best car-buying story:

I called all 3 Subaru dealerships in town. Said, "I'm buying this car on your lot for cash tomorrow. What's your best price? I'm going with whatever dealership gives the best deal."

(I know this isn't optimal but yolo.)

One dealership was $250 less than the others. I said, "OK, you got a deal. We'll be there tomorrow with a check."

My lovely wife goes to get the car. She returns home for dinner loving the car. I said, "How did the price go up $1,000?"

They had added some stupid surcharges and undercoat or whatever. Told her she had no choice.

I text the salesman, "You lied to me. I either want a check for $1,000 or I'm returning the car and writing all kinds of letters to Subaru HQ."

Fifteen minutes later, I got a text back. "We're mailing you the check."

And people wonder why car dealers are so hated.
