7,000 MT of waste and nearly 2,000 MT in just two days.
Beyond the cleanup, this raises serious questions about government preparedness and public awareness.
Where were adequate waste-management measures?

Why is the BJP-led Centre so adamant about backing Dharmendra Pradhan?
Is it afraid that if he resigns, people across the country will feel empowered to question the government?
And after that, will the pressure shift to other ministers and even NDA allies?

A man and several children narrowly escaped a serious accident after falling into a large water-filled pothole during heavy rainfall in Ward No. 2 of Veraval in Gujarat's Gir Somnath district.
The incident occurred while the man was taking the children, reportedly to drop them off, when he lost balance and fell into the rainwater-filled pit along with them.
Fortunately, no one sustained serious injuries in the incident. The mishap has raised concerns over the condition of roads and the dangers posed by waterlogged potholes during the monsoon season.
The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway was inaugurated on April 14, 2026. It is now July. The monsoon just arrived. So have the potholes.
Rs 12,000 crore of public money. Two and a half months. That is how long it lasted before the first rain exposed what was actually built.
@AxisMyIndia exit poll: TVK 98–120
Did TN really go “whistle podu” for Vijay, or is this just loud voices in the samples?
If prediction comes true, it would be a historic in recent times for any Indian film star to achieve something that Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan couldn’t...
EC tells Vijay to “Whistle Podu” in Tamil Nadu politics
The Election Commission has allotted the ‘Whistle’ symbol to actor Vijay’s party, TVK, formally recognising it ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
With the symbol in place, has TVK’s political entry moved from announcement to action?

What is even happening in the AAP?
If you have issues with your party, you should protest from within. But how can leaders join the very party that sent the ED after them just days ago?
RS MPs Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal to join BJP
AAP came on the promise of clean politics and moral governance, yet leaders keep moving away. First Delhi, now Punjab?

Addressing a press conference with Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal, AAP MP Raghav Chadha says, "We have decided that we, the 2/3rd members belonging to the AAP in Rajya Sabha, exercise the provisions of the Constitution of India and merge ourselves with the BJP."

Women’s Reservation (131st Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2026) defeated in Lok Sabha—Ayes 278, Noes 211 (short of 2/3rd), total 489. Another setback in a decades-long struggle. Govt will now blame Opposition as anti-women—but the real question: when the Bill was already passed in 2023, why reintroduce it with a forced delimitation clause almost certain to fail? Who actually derailed women’s reservation?
#WomenReservationBill
Only 333 MPs voted on the motion to introduce the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirty-First Amendment) Bill, 2026 on women’s reservation and delimitation.
The motion was carried with 207 “Ayes” against 126 “Noes,” allowing the Bill to be formally introduced.
The question is: why were the remaining MPs absent during the vote?
Great gesture from Omar Abdullah 👏🇮🇳
At an inauguration event, he noticed a tricolour ribbon set up for cutting.
Refusing to cut it out of respect for the national flag, he instead directed officials to carefully remove and preserve it.
A small act, but a powerful reminder that the Tiranga is not just decoration—it’s dignity.
