A man and several children narrowly escaped a serious accident after falling into a large water-filled pothole during heavy rainfall in Ward No. 2 of Veraval in Gujarat's Gir Somnath district.

The incident occurred while the man was taking the children, reportedly to drop them off, when he lost balance and fell into the rainwater-filled pit along with them.

Fortunately, no one sustained serious injuries in the incident. The mishap has raised concerns over the condition of roads and the dangers posed by waterlogged potholes during the monsoon season.

Women’s Reservation (131st Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2026) defeated in Lok Sabha—Ayes 278, Noes 211 (short of 2/3rd), total 489. Another setback in a decades-long struggle. Govt will now blame Opposition as anti-women—but the real question: when the Bill was already passed in 2023, why reintroduce it with a forced delimitation clause almost certain to fail? Who actually derailed women’s reservation?

The motion was carried with 207 “Ayes” against 126 “Noes,” allowing the Bill to be formally introduced.

Voter Turnouts at 5 PM:

Assam: 84.42%

Keralam: 75.01%

Puducherry: 86.92%

EoD the turnouts will increase and may set new records in all three states..

Usually, higher voter turnout indicates clear anti-incumbency. Which direction will these results go? We’ll have to wait until May 4.
