Performance Audit Services has received a 2026 NLPES Excellence in Research Methods award for its report "Truck Permitting Fees in Louisiana and Neighboring States" (https://t.co/xpff6WfJXq). Congratulations to Gina Brown, Mukta Pathak, Courtney Stevenson, and Joshua Dupuis!
@hypocane@obs56686@NoChildAbuse67 Black Communities that have historically been represented by a Black Congressman are being drawn out of that map. That is not fair.
Someone who has been in Congressional District 2 for decades all of sudden is drawn out because of “fairness” is absurd.
@NoChildAbuse67 But you are separating entire communities of interest.. the bluest district in Louisiana is New Orleans cutting out the current District 2 that runs along the river that is prominently Black communities.
Happy Pride Month from the LDP! 🌈
June is for celebrating our friends in the LGBTQ+ community. Your experience and voice are incredibly valued.
Being who you are should not be a political conversation, and we stand with the queer community today and forever, with pride.
June 27, 2019.
Harris says, explicitly, "I'm going to now direct this at Vice President Biden. I do not believe you are a racist."
One week later, Jill Biden said in reference to Harris on a conference call with supporters: "With what he cares about, what he fights for, what he’s committed to, you get up there and call him a racist without basis? Go fuck yourself."
Absolutely disgusting behaviour.
@Dan_5DotOh@superbusradio@JohnBelEdwards Because the constitution only limits a governor to two consecutive terms.
Edwin Edwards did this by sitting out for four years, then running again and serving another eight years on top of his first eight for example.
JBE can run again and serve another 8 years if he wants.
Deeply grateful for the men and women of the U.S. Military who made the ultimate sacrifice.
To defend our freedom and the American way of life.
Our nation is forever in your debt.
Thirty-seven strong. One unwavering voice for Louisiana.
This is the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus lawmakers carrying the hopes, histories, and futures of communities that have too often been told to wait their turn.
In a political climate where voting rights are under attack, where DEI is being dismantled, and where the very mention of our history is being legislated out of classrooms, this image is more than a portrait. It is a promise.
Representation is not symbolic. It is structural. It is the difference between policy done to our communities and policy built with them.
The fight continues. And we are ready.

In Louisiana all hell is breaking loose because of the map redistricting and while Senator Gary Carter’s microphone is cut off intentionally Republican Senator Jay Morris stands up and walks over to some people in the chamber and looks at the black man and says “Shut up boy””
The question that doesn’t get asked enough in Louisiana politics of anyone holding or running for elected office and is over the age of 53 is, did you vote in the 1991 gubernatorial election, and if so, did you vote for David Duke
