Everyone knows the Uphaar cinema fire. Fifty nine people who went to watch a war film in Delhi and never came home.

Almost nobody knows that the safest man in that hall, the one person trained and calm enough to walk straight out, chose to stay inside until it killed him.

His name was Captain Manjinder Singh Bhinder.

On the thirteenth of June 1997, he was at the Uphaar cinema in Green Park watching Border, the film about the soldiers of Longewala. He was a real one.

An officer of the 61st Cavalry, a national level horseman who had just won gold at the National Games and was being talked about for the next Asian Games. He was there with his wife and his four year old son.

Partway through the film, a transformer in the building caught fire. Thick black smoke began filling the balcony. The exits were few, badly lit, and some were blocked. People had minutes, and most of them did not know which way to move.

He got his own family up and moving toward the way out, the way any man would.

And then he turned around and went back in.

He understood what a panicking crowd in the dark does. It bunches at the wrong doors, it freezes, it tramples itself. So he put himself in that stairwell and did the job he was trained to do.

He took charge. He steadied people. He guided women and children through the smoke toward the narrow passage that led out, group after group, breathing that air the whole time.

More than a hundred and fifty people got out of that cinema alive because a soldier stood in the dark and refused to leave until they did.

He did not get out. Neither did his wife. Neither did his little boy.

There is a Netflix series about the Uphaar fire. It is told, rightly, through the eyes of two parents who lost their children and spent decades fighting for justice. His name is not in it.

And there is one more thing the country should be made to sit with. After he died saving over a hundred and fifty of its citizens, his elderly parents had to fight the defence ministry for years for his pension, because a clerk's rule said he had not died fighting an enemy.

He walked out of that fire once, with his family, and he was safe. Then he heard the people still screaming inside, and he went back.

I will tell you exactly why TN has been fighting against NEET. This state has highest number of private colleges. Mostly politically linked. They all earn a lot on capitation fees, like hundreds of crores every year.

Much of this is lost due to NEET. PM Modi's govt also capped fees, increased seats, and did many things that's hurting them a lot financially. They want NEET gone, Modi gone.

So as they protest for these things, GLISCO-DS has joined the issue and told them to link NEET to Brahmans, Modi (though the man is OBC), and Adani (Jain). They do it faithfully like slaves of the CPC without any brain cells.

An Open Letter to the Parents

If your son or daughter is among those whose videos went viral for hurling extreme abuses at the Prime Minister, I genuinely hope you watch those clips once, not as supporters of any political party, but simply as parents. The internet never forgets. Those videos will outlive this protest. Years from now, employers, colleagues, relatives, and even their own children may come across them. One emotional moment can become a lifelong identity.

Every parent wants their child to be remembered for their character, education, and achievements, not for a viral clip filled with abuse. Governments will change, leaders will come and go, but a person's conduct stays attached to their name. Rightly or wrongly, people often judge a family's values by the way their children behave in public. That's the reality of the world we live in.

Teach your children to question the government. Teach them to protest. Teach them to disagree with every politician if they want. But also teach them that losing respect while demanding change is never a victory. A person can win an argument and still lose their dignity. That's a lesson no classroom can replace.

The cockroaches hurled stones at the Delhi Police, paramilitary personnel, and the CRPF as they tried to maintain the dignity around the Temple of Democracy.

They mocked, ridiculed, and abused the police.

They assaulted, attempted to lynch and attacked police personnel.

They used highly abusive language against the Indian Armed Forces.

They directed some of the filthiest insults at PM Modi, Prabhu Ram, Amit Shah, and even the Prime Minister's personal life.

They displayed placards making derogatory insinuations about a 76 year old PMs masculinity.

They made the filthiest slogans for the PM. Used the most abusive "Red light area" language for a country's PM. A language which a pro*tit*te would never even use for her country's PM.

Now that the Delhi Police is taking action on them based on videos and other evidence, they suddenly feel offended and resentful.

According to the cockroaches, this is what democracy means : they are free to abuse, insult, attack or malign anyone. But the moment they face retaliation or any legal action by the opposite party, they find it undemocratic and intolerant.

Dear Parents
I know how difficult it is to raise the current generation. They have minds of their own and get influenced easily . We as parents have a moral responsibility to raise them in a healthy and loving way.Children must be encouraged to question, protest, and disagree, while also learning that standing firm does not have to mean losing respect or dignity or hurling abuses and using profanity . Ultimately people will definitely blame the parents and question their upbringing. Let us raise a beautiful generation with morals and values that inspire them to achieve their goals and dreams. Dissent is normal but vulgarity, profanity is not!!
We must teach our kids to respect and love for the country and also protect them against people who use them as political pawns.
Spend time with them, talk to them and listen to them. With love and kindness we can definitely conquer their hearts.

This is Manvi Anusha, founder of Rishikesh’s Aumana Foundation.
She describes herself as a spiritual guru, reportedly charges ₹22,000 for a spiritual session, and has made remarks saying that Hinduism is a “dirty religion” and that she is ashamed to be Hindu.
More recently, she was seen at the Cockroach Janata Party protest, where she was captured using abusive language toward the police and the government.
Now, she is back to playing the spiritual guru, while her devotees continue performing puja and aarti for her as if nothing happened.
