I don’t know how the police force of Telangana are feeling about this statement because as an ordinary citizen I feel that the CM who is also the home minister is implying that Telangana police cannot trace a 25 year old POCSO accused Bandi Bageerath, unless he chooses to surrender.

Unfortunately, CM Revanth Reddy despite being in power from more than 2.5 years thinks he is an opposition leader.

The brave revolutionary Prof G N Saibaba passed away today at a hospital in Hyderabad. Farewell comrade, this news is heartbreaking because you could not even taste a year of freedom.

Incarcerated by the Indian state on charges of being a Maoist sympathizer, Prof Saibaba, with 90 percent disabilities, spent close to a decade in prison, and was often kept under the harshest solitary confinement. Housed in prison, his radical poetry addressed the colonial nature of the Indian legal system even as it addressed the many social evils that plague us as a nation.

It feels unreal, even unthinkable to exercise the past tense to write of you, comrade. You are a living flame. Your spirited fight, your strong will that did not shatter under the most cruel state oppression, your faith in the power of the working people -- this will remain your indelible legacy.

When I met you earlier this year in April, it felt like I was meeting a friend from forever. We discussed literature, IWE, the postcolonial novel, and what it means to be Bahujan within Indian academia. You laughed at how little I ate. You wore your suffering incredibly lightly--so casually that we felt doubly enraged at what the Indian state had inflicted upon you. Never did I realise that this was going to be my last ever meeting with you.

My deepest condolences to my friend and sister comrade AS Vasantha Kumari.
