Bravery rewarded

​On 11 Nov 24, when Borobekra (Manipur) faced a massive insurgent attack, Shri Vipin Wilson, AC, 20 Bn, #CRPF, rushed straight into heavy gunfire with his QAT. Despite his vehicle taking multiple hits, he dismounted, took position, and advanced alone to neutralize a hardcore insurgent. His tactical assault eliminated 10 heavily armed attackers.
​Today, the President of India honoured his extraordinary bravery with the Shaurya Chakra. Salute to the hero.

​#शौर्य_दिवस के अवसर पर, @crpfindia के महानिदेशक और समस्त रैंक का, सरदार पोस्ट के हमारे सभी नायकों को कोटि-कोटि नमन।

हम उन 6 महावीरों को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करते हैं, जिन्होंने 9 अप्रैल,1965 को सरदार पोस्ट पर अपना सर्वोच्च बलिदान दिया था।
​
​कच्छ के सुनसान रण में, इतिहास रक्त और लोहे से लिखा गया था। सीआरपीएफ की दूसरी बटालियन की दो कंपनियों ने पाकिस्तानी इन्फैंट्री ब्रिगेड के 3,500 सैनिकों के भीषण हमले का सामना किया।
​संख्या में बहुत कम होने के बावजूद, हमारे जवान चट्टान की तरह डटे रहे और बेमिसाल साहस के साथ हमले को विफल कर दिया:
​34 दुश्मन सैनिक मारे गए (जिसमें 2 अधिकारी शामिल थे)।
​4 युद्धबंदी पकड़े गए।
​चौकी (पोस्ट) पर कोई कब्जा नहीं कर सका।
​🕯️ हमारे वीर बलिदानी:

​हम उन वीर सपूतों के सर्वोच्च बलिदान को याद करते हैं, जिन्होंने विषम परिस्थितियों में मातृभूमि की रक्षा की:

Remembering the immortal braves of the 62 Bn @crpfindia.

DG and all Ranks of #CRPF pay solemn tribute to 75 valiant troopers of 62 Bn, who made the supreme sacrifice while gallantly countering an ambush by maoists near Tadmetla, Chintagufa, Sukma (then Dantewada), Chhattisgarh on 6 April 2010.

​75 of our finest made the supreme sacrifice, neutralizing 7 Maoists and injuring 8 of them during a fierce 6-hour battle against a massive Maoist ambush.
​Despite being outnumbered by over 500 heavily armed maoists and over hundreds of IEDs planted at most of the points around the ambush area, where our men could take cover and fire back, their grit was legendary:

​Valor in Extremis: Shri Satyawan Singh, Deputy Commandant and Shri B. L. Meena, Asst. Commandant led the troops to fight back displaying indomitable courage and unparalleled bravery.
Some of our heroes lay over grenades to protect brothers and neutralise the enemy.

​Oath of Honor: Dying soldiers hid their weapons beneath them to ensure they never fell into the wrong hands.

​Gallantry: Saluting Constable/Driver Sampat Lal (PMG) and every soul who stood their ground at Tadmetla.
​Their sacrifice is etched in the heart of the nation. We bow to the lions of Chhattisgarh.
