They didn't ask me to do this, but that regular season check just deposited and it's a reminder of how lucky I am right now.

This is my third season working with @firstStarLog and they've been so great to me. I've been with a couple of media companies for 3 years (The Athletic & Bleacher Report), but I never felt as secure as I do with First Star. They've given me a platform to be myself, work within my schedule and have paid me more than any other media company ever has. That security and reward combo is rare. It's one of the reasons I stepped back from making content in 2020; I always felt like the rug could be pulled out at any moment, but I've been at peace for 3 years!

So I'm just feeling very grateful right now.

And First Star doesn't even have to do this. They're a logistics company!
Their owner just loves Sports, the Bengals and the Fans. He just wants to have a good time and share the experience with everyone else. That's why you see these massive giveaways, parties and events. They're not trying to sell you anything. They don't even monetize their YouTube page! It's not about clicks and views.

They just want to have a good time and remind you that they're hiring.

And I'm not selling you anything with this post. It's just been an emotionally charged week on this app and I know people are angry and I had a moment where I stepped back and realized the situation I'm in.
