Then force the companies that want to bring in H1Bs to hire a US person at the same time. Also they should be supporting learning centers at University’s to focus training on skills they need or no H1B because that would stop companies from using the H1B program for cheap labor and if it’s truly for (talent shortage, which I do think it is) the companies won’t mind paying extra to ensure they don’t have shortages int he future. It’s the same thing Walstreet banks do now. The problem is companies that use H1B are cheap and not good corporate Americans. So it’s just not a good look…. Your schools suck, your people suck, so we are going to bring in others from another country because we need them since your money doesn’t suck and we want that… 🙄
