@CopaExMachina I think you missed the point of the scene (I did too at first). He’s not justifying himself to Lex. He’s begging Lex to rediscover his humanity—the ability to learn from your mistakes— for the sake of the world.
@mbateman Claude in all respects is such a leap forward for getting things done properly. Not sure if it’s as simple as this, but it feels like being product focused vs engineering focused.
@BenBayer@elanjourno I agree with your premise that Iran is evil and that the best case scenarios would be excellent. I’m just not optimistic about this administration’s ability. Trying to figure if that’s fine and worst case is still better than nothing. Maybe because of capacity degradation?
@BenBayer@elanjourno Good episode. Assuming a quagmire, failed state, or that this ends up a “lawn mowing” exercise, would you think this action was a net positive?
@mbateman I don’t know anything about DH. As far as I was concerned, the Battle of Long Island was the start. A big victory before that goes a long way toward explaining why everyone didn’t just give up before Trenton.
@Gena_I_Gorlin Our girls as well. So funny what they decided to learn. Lucy on Dutch and Hazel on Hebrew, in addition to both on Mandarin and music. They’re very proud of their streaks.
@yaronbrook Yaron, this episode has given me a lot to think about, however I think you’re missing context. The Venezuela action has to be seen in context of Trump’s ambitions regarding the Western Hemisphere, especially Greenland, Canada, Mexico, Cuba.

@mbateman It’s critical to their stated rationale. This is not war: It’s an arrest protected by the military.
The whole thing is incoherent, but the trial is the fig leaf holding it together.
@mbateman It’s good and songs are bangers as everyone said but also:
-Musicals have super high vitality potential, especially for this demo.
-The demo had little else this summer. No competition.
-It was on no one’s radar. Discovery potential.
