Amnesiac fugitive Astra learns the superdome sheltering her city is failing and the genetically gifted sacrificed for population control. She must embrace her terroristic past and join forces with a prophesied messiah, or let those who condemned her die. #Pitdark#A#SF#DS
A character's first line is an introduction, an arrival, a quiet promise of who they will become. Some of my characters shout their entrance, others whisper. In the end, some will lose their voices and others will find theirs. The Stormbreaker Prophecy will release 2026.
Some people care more about what 'side' a person is on than if that person is good or cruel. This sort of dribbling tribalism should have been left behind in the stone age, yet here it is, screaming, dictating policy, and refusing to see reality if someone it personally dislikes is showing it to them.

I've worked hard on my book. It's taken so much time and so much money.
So yes, stealing it, or pirating if you want to call it that, is absolutely wrong.
OOOOOh my goodness, is this why I can *feel* when there's something not right about a scene I'm writing??? Usually I come back a month later during editing with some great idea that fixes it and then it *feels* right... 🤯
Autistic pattern recognition has you looking like a deranged psychic to your coworkers. How do I know this system won’t work? I feel it. Yeah it will take precisely 22 days to collapse, and I’ve booked some annual leave for the exact moment it happens because I warned you and you didn’t listen.
Writing this book was like painting in my own 🩸 This story grapples with themes of control and power, love vs desire and love vs duty, destiny vs choice. The Stormbreaker Prophecy, release date TBD 2026!
I was recently on a plane and the flight attendant said, “Can I take a selfie with you? I grew up watching Supernatural.” He had an accent, and I said, “Of course. Where are you from?” His lip quivered a bit, and he said, “I know you hate Russia, but I am from there.”
That made me realize I need to say: I don’t hate Russia or Russians—I hate what Putin has done to Ukraine and Syria. I don’t hate Palestinians, but I hate what the leaders of Hamas did on October 7th. I don’t hate Israel or Israelis, but I hate the death, suffering, and destruction Netanyahu has wrought on Gaza. And I love my country, but I hate the authoritarian tactics and divisiveness that Trump is wielding to tear us apart and destroy what we stand for.
Bad leaders will deploy the power of nations to enrich themselves, silence opposition, and maim and kill—but that doesn’t make the people of those nations bad. Instead, I think bad leaders call us all to action: to stand up and fight for what’s right and to protect those who can’t protect themselves.
My flight attendant grew up watching Sam, Dean, and Cas doing just that—fighting till their last breaths to save the world from the forces of evil. I think there’s a reason we take inspiration from those stories—in our hearts we know: we’ve got work to do.
@sampiggauthor@musings_blonde This line is one of my favorites from Joey, but it's so out of character because it actually shows a great degree of mathematical intelligence.
@JohnWTrevino I'm glad somebody understands. It's like, I'm not celebrating the divorce, but I will celebrate the little bits of freedom that have returned to me because of it.
Today I ordered a set of sheets in a bold color that I knew my ex never would have approved. They're just sheets, but they felt like me. Getting a divorce is never easy or without hurt, but this was the faintest hint at the blessings and joys to come out of adversity.
@RedHedgedragon As the child of an educator, the loss of public education will have a HUGE negative impact on underprivileged communities. Many people would *like* to homeschool their kids. That doesn't mean it's financially feasible for them to do so.
@rachkmc What even IS this? I've never watched this show/movie/whatever and I don't understand why it's popular or what it's about. Nevermind my question, I don't even really care. I'm slowly starting to hate TV.
@dmagillwrite@Protestia Not quite. There's a huge difference between God's active will and His permissive will. He didn't desire anyone to be murdered, but He knew that killer would make that choice, and He will work it for His honor and purpose.
