La beauté de cette image cache une réalité plus sombre. L’Institut du Christ-Roi Souverain Prêtre (ICRSP) s’est vu interdire le droit de célébrer la sainte Messe à l’intérieur de son sanctuaire américain, situé à Chicago.

Les instituts ex-Ecclesia Dei sont désormais parfaitement soumis au bon vouloir des évêques diocésains depuis Traditionis Custodes, lesquels se montrent en général dubitatifs, pour ne pas dire carrément hostiles, à la sainte Messe. Or ils ont le devoir de dire la Messe pour sanctifier leurs fidèles et pour le bien de leurs âmes.

This is fun! The SSPX is now forcing our dear bishops to sound positively Catholic again. Really, Excellency, you've got a problem with Protestants? Nice to know but, tell me -- what happens to our vaunted ecumenical outreach if we're now supposed to excoriate the "worst Catholics" in the world today (i.e., the SSPX) as no better than a bunch of loser Protestants?

By the way, yours might be a slightly schismatic mentality, Excellency, since as far as the Vatican is concerned, Protestants are A-okay. If the SSPX is really becoming Protestant, in the spirit of Synodality, you should probably be listening to them and figuring out how to CHURCH with them a bit more effectively. Because, at this point, I've got to tell you -- you seem a little rigid!

Remember, it was Pope Francis who famously celebrated the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Revolt inside a stolen cathedral in Lund, Sweden. He signed a joint something or other solemnly informing the world that what unites Catholics and Protestants is way more important than what divides us.

Got that, SSPX? What unites us is WAY more important than what divides us! Kumbaya, baby!

Lead on, SSPX! If this keeps up, our shepherds will soon be preaching Extra ecclesiam nulla salus again! For the time being, Excellency, please be advised that the Vatican has no problem with Protestantism, as you can see from the clip below (link in comments).
