@Koopa5121@PacApproved "ARCV". And in my testing, apparently aluigi's Inazuma Eleven 3 QuickBMS script here seems to do the trick already: https://t.co/FTt2hiRo6j
@PacApproved ^ It's either that, or I can work on writing a QuickBMS script to separate those automatically sometime soon, which would definitely be more preferable / convenient in this instance.
@PacApproved You can use a hex editor to trim it down to just Pac-Man's model. Do a search for "MDL0" in the ARC, then scroll up a few lines until you see "bres". Delete everything before that, then save as a copy with a .BRRES extension, then the resulting file should work in BrawlCrate.
@PacApproved ^ To get all of those extracted, what you'd want to do is use BrawlCrate to change each one of the Objects / polygon# entries to use their alternate vertex groups, save, re-open, export as DAE, repeat the process for each expression, and then import/merge those all afterwards.
@PacApproved It's actually not as complicated as you think, as they're set up as separate vertex groups. There's a roundabout way of getting those with BrawlCrate, like in the examples below. #1 shows the vertex groups, #2 shows a changed polygon group, #3 and #4 are before/after swapping.
@TheVGResource @MAlvarado96_ @WayForward It's definitely more noticeable in certain sprites compared to others (the outlining on the knockdown sprite especially).
@TheVGResource@LephemStar91@JettersMighty@kosheh tSR staff comment chain? tSR staff comment chain.
Part of that was due to unfamiliarity with the game (this happens from time to time, we're not living game encyclopedias after all) and also due to some users starting a mini edit-war for it. So now it's tagged "Early Version".
Follow-up to my computer issues from a few months back: Just installed a replacement motherboard and processor set, and it's been working great since, no frequent BSODs! Feels nice to have a working computer again.
Now how's Twitter been in my three-month absence?
Oh.
Ohhh...
So after all these years, my computer finally decided it's had enough and refuses to boot up now.
Fine, I get it, I'll put my 2015-ish build out to pasture and get something newer... as soon as I'm able to.
At least this means I can catch up on my backlog in the meantime.
@GugaTascheri @Axanery@breakthetargets Jokingly, perhaps, but the actual sprite files (plural) refer to this as both "Door Trigger" and "Exploding Trigger" (the latter of which this is a screenshot of).
@Axanery And the kicker? I had a list at the ready with every three-letter combination for cases like this, trying to help find it.
I did not have dashes in it. I had underscores instead.
My desk is now upside-down.
@GlacialSiren484 Peach's sprites in SMM2 are the same way, having green pixels in between her and Yoshi from the original tSR spritesheet's background (which were accidentally left in from a previous sheet revision)! Original sheets: https://t.co/nybq2DPzBY and https://t.co/8fJqlZtPts
@vervalkon@HG_101 And on top of that, it seems the tilemap for it still exists in the game, compressed at 0x5491A in the US ROM... only problem is half of the graphics for it were deleted. Oh well.
