The funniest thing is watching people celebrate a dashboard as if it magically fixes elections.

If the source data is compromised, the dashboard simply visualizes the compromise faster.

A calculator doesn't stop fraud.
A spreadsheet doesn't stop rigging.
A dashboard doesn't create credibility.

Even Yiaga has repeatedly stated that ERAD is an analysis tool, not an election umpire or winner-declaration machine.

Transparency is good.

But confusing transparency tools with electoral integrity is how people end up applauding the thermometer while the house is still on fire.

Roughly 5 hours after the end of polls and @YIAGA’s ERAD dashboard has already collated most of the results and a clear winner (per IReV uploaded results).

This is good for our democracy.

From the videos coming from Ekiti, this tool clearly doesn’t stop rigging, or the upload of doctored results by bad faith actors; but it’s a big step in the right direction.
