Sen Chris Coons (D, Del) tells @FOS he thinks there's an appetite to pass the Protect College Sports Act in the Senate even if SEC and Big Ten don't support it. "We need to be willing to risk pushing back on the SEC. They are used to being the big game in town."

USF sold out all 28 luxury suites for its new on-campus stadium in the first 24 hours of premium sales, before the public launch even started. The standout feature is the Ninety-Seven Club, which pairs all-inclusive seating along the 50-yard line with access to a hidden speakeasy built inside the stadium.
AD Rob Higgins described demand coming from every stakeholder group at once, long-time season ticket holders, donors, and local corporations all moving in the same window. The $348.5M venue opens for the 2027 season with 35,000 seats, a sideline club for around 1,000, and roughly 2,200 club seats.
The early sellout is one of the clearest signs yet of how much revenue these on-campus assets can generate when a department invests in curating the experience around them.

The Big Ten and SEC are not going to do a super league. The Big Ten schools get a lot of advantages with their BTAA relationships and that matters a lot to those schools. They may or may not leave the NCAA to do conf rules/gov, but the two conferences will stay intact.
It could end up in court. The new members bring major markets that would help keep the ACC profitable, and ESPN appreciates cost certainty. Plus, the new members would only receive quarter shares until the 2036 cycle. So, it might just work.
WOW: Nick Saban say he doesn’t agree with paying college athletes.
“I don’t think they need to be paid. Let’s say I pay a 5⭐️ $400k and he doesn’t perform like a top player, now I lose out on money and the fanbase is mad because the team stinks”
