Spain just blocked Archive Today.
Try to visit the web archive and many Spanish ISPs now redirect you to a government page warning:
“YOU ARE TRYING TO ACCESS AN ILLEGAL WEBSITE.”
It even tells users they’re “contributing to an illegal and criminal activity” simply by trying to access it.
A tool used by journalists and researchers to preserve the web is now treated like contraband.
The block reportedly followed a complaint from an unnamed rights holder and was imposed by Spain’s Intellectual Property Commission, not through a court ruling.
That's an entire web-archiving service blocked over copyright and the complainant isn’t even public.
Samsung’s three major product-detail missteps over the past two years:
1. Removal of Bluetooth functionality from the S Pen
2. Abandoning the under-display camera UDC on the inner display of foldable phones
3. Dropping S Pen support on foldable devices
Do you agree?
Today, Telegram notified all its users in Spain with this alert:
Pedro Sánchez’s government is pushing dangerous new regulations that threaten your internet freedoms. Announced just yesterday, these measures could turn Spain into a surveillance state under the guise of “protection.” Here’s why they’re a red flag for free speech and privacy:
1. Ban on social media for under-16s with mandatory age verification: This isn’t just about kids—it requires platforms to use strict checks, like needing IDs or biometrics.
⚠️ Danger: It sets a precedent for tracking EVERY user’s identity, eroding anonymity and opening doors to mass data collection. What starts with minors could expand to all, stifling open discourse.
2. Personal and criminal liability for platform executives: If “illegal, hateful, or harmful” content isn’t removed fast enough, bosses face jail.
⚠️ Danger: This will force over-censorship—platforms will delete anything remotely controversial to avoid risks, silencing political dissent, journalism, and everyday opinions. Your voice could be next if it challenges the status quo.
3. Criminalizing algorithm amplification: Amplifying “harmful” content via algorithms becomes a crime.
⚠️ Danger: Governments will dictate what you see, burying opposing views and creating echo chambers controlled by the state. Free exploration of ideas? Gone—replaced by curated propaganda.
4. “Hate and polarization footprint” tracking: Platforms must monitor and report how they “fuel division.”
⚠️ Danger: Vague definitions of “hate” could label criticism of the government as divisive, leading to shutdowns or fines. This can be a tool for suppressing opposition.
These aren’t safeguards; they’re steps toward total control. We’ve seen this playbook before—governments weaponizing “safety” to censor critics. On Telegram, we prioritize your privacy and freedom: strong encryption, no backdoors, and resistance to overreach.
✊ Stay vigilant, Spain. Demand transparency and fight for your rights. Share this widely—before it’s too late.
@UniverseIce C is prob the best. A is in the way and B is on the same side as the rear cameras so I don’t think there’s enough space to have them both on the same time.
“We generated millions in pure profit by making the standard service worse” is literally the slogan of the last 2 decades for every commodity in the country.
Encryption isn't hostile. It's a bedrock of our cybersecurity.
The UK's national security laws join a long line of attempts to frame encrypted messaging as something to be broken apart.
Without it, we're more open to threats from hackers and criminals.

A reminder for all fans, and a necessary warning: do not think from a corporation’s perspective.
You are a consumer. You do not need to consider a company’s stance, its profit margins, its cost pressures, or its financial difficulties. You do not need to look for excuses on its behalf. You are the one paying money. Samsung is the one making money. The roles are very clear.
Put away your sympathy for corporations.
A corporation does not need your compassion. It has scale, capital, and pricing power. The ones who actually need protection are consumers and their dignity. The moment you start worrying about a company’s costs, understanding its pressures, and lowering your expectations for its sake, you are silently paying for stagnation and lack of progress.
At the same time, be alert to voices that constantly promote ideas like “understand the company,” “be reasonable with the brand,” or “do not be too demanding.” These arguments sound rational, but in reality they shift responsibility away from the company and onto consumers. They normalize stagnation and reframe legitimate dissatisfaction as immaturity or ignorance. This is not objective analysis. It is emotional conditioning. It is a subtle form of brainwashing.
Remember one simple fact: the moment you pay, you are already standing in the only position that matters.
Whether a company improves is its responsibility. Whether you are satisfied is your right. Do not confuse the two.

We have people in power making broad claims around certain drugs and autism that have been continuously disproven. The degree to which those comments can undermine public health, do harm to women who are pregnant, create anxiety for parents who do have children who are autistic – is violence against the truth.
@johncenajuuu@UniverseIce Leaks point to a major reduction in thickness on the Fold 7, while Flip 7 didn't get that much slimmer.
"Who asked for this" debate aside, I'm still trying to understand how they managed to get a 4400mAh battery so thin to fit in a 4mm body.
@rbphadke@UniverseIce Apple did this for several years and it did great. If this happens, let's see what it brings to the western Android mobile space.
My opinion is that this would be a free pass for companies to penetrate more the market and to steal users from big players like Google and Samsung.
