Northwest Iran mobilization is not new — it has simply been reinforced to counter possible militant advances by Kurdish opposition groups.
More notable is the activity in the south. Forces there appear to be positioning and preparing specifically to contest any potential ground operations.

The conclusion is correct.
Too many in Washington - including negotiators and voices around VP Vance - still treat the Islamic Republic as a normal country. It is not, and it never will be.

As long as this regime exists, it will destabilize the region, sponsor terrorism, target U.S. allies as legitimate enemies, and hold international trade routes hostage. This is not conventional state behavior. It is the conduct of a pure terrorism state.
