#JayZ I have seen posts and comments saying that Jay-Z is being called out, that Jay-Z is being exposed, etc. I just have a few questions. Why does the culture accept, and is comfortable with the denigration of famous black people WITHOUT EVIDENCE? Why is it that allegations, accusations, and insinuations are enough to “expose,” or “take down” someone? Why doesn’t the culture demand EVIDENCE?

For example, a person worth over $100m is insinuating that another person worth at least 1 billion defrauded or cheated him/her in a business deal to the tune of 100s of millions. The courthouse doors are open, and the millionaire can easily sue the billionaire and let the justice system determine liability. Why does the culture indulge and encourage this behavior?

Everyone is free to attack or criticize the political affiliation of another person. But, imho, the culture should require that the person mounting the political attack should state his or her own political affiliation, political principles, and political policy positions and then compare them to those of the person he or she is attacking. If you are a Republican/conservative, state so, and provide the explanation and contrast when criticizing a Democrat/progressive or liberal. The same should be applicable when a Democrat/progressive or liberal is criticizing a Republican/conservative.

On the issue of Jay-Z and paternity, the law should apply to EVERYONE equally – whether you are rich or poor, celebrity or not. The laws of most states allow a mother to seek child support from a putative or alleged father of her child. During this process, the issue of paternity can be determined. The mother has EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS within which to seek child support and paternity determination. EIGHTEEN YEARS! That should be more than enough time. If it is a child with special needs, it can be done even after the child turns 18 in many states.

If the mother cannot afford a lawyer in seeking child support, many state child support offices assist the mother in the legal process. There are also pro bono lawyers who assist in the process. Significantly, if the mother is or was receiving public assistance, the govt can essentially take over the litigation against the putative father to recoup the money paid by the govt for the child who the putative father does not support. During that litigation, the issue of paternity can be resolved.

The statutes, rules, and court procedure regarding child support have been in place for many, many years. There are 100s if not thousands of published court opinions regarding child support and paternity. Millions and millions of parents have utilized and still utilize these rules till today - rich and poor alike. But the culture tolerates the denigration of Jay-Z who follows and followed the laws and the court procedure regarding the allegation of paternity. The culture appears to credit allegations about issues that could’ve been properly resolved in a period of 18 years by simply following the laws. Instead of insisting on the proper legal process, some in the culture fan the flames of unfounded conspiracy theories. If you’ve watched some of the old TV shows like Maury, you’ll know that alleged look-alikes and passing resemblances are not determinative or conclusive. Sometimes, women who profess to be 1 million percent sure of paternity are proven wrong. Over and over again. The only choice is to follow the legal process, and any mother has 18 years to use this process or to figure out how to use this process. The mother in this case knew of this legal process and she actually used this legal process to seek child support - from another man. But somehow, it is Jay-Z's fault, and the laws should be ignored, and Jay-Z should just submit to a paternity test for anyone who accuses him of fathering their child. smh.

On the SB “snub” of Lil Wayne for New Orleans, does anyone have the FACTS (not innuendo) about the NFL’s official process about the selection of performers? If, officially, Jay-Z has the SOLE authority to choose the performers or has the FINAL SAY in the choice of performers, then, he is responsible for choosing Kendrick Lamar over Lil Wayne for the New Orleans SB. But we don’t have the FACTS about the NFL’s decision-making process, and that process has NEVER been made public in the past. No disrespect, but I consider Lil Wayne's "prime" to be generally in the period from roughly 2001 (maybe a stretch) to 2015. In that period, New Orleans hosted the SB in Feb 2002 and Feb 2013 without Jay-Z’s involvement. I don’t remember any criticisms of the NFL for the choice of SB performers or for not choosing Lil Wayne. The public didn’t even know who was involved in those decisions about performers or whether a black person was involved in the decisions.

Let’s be clear: I think Lil Wayne would’ve been a good choice to perform at the SB instead of Kendrick Lamar. But Kendrick Lamar was also a good choice, and Lil Wayne was not snubbed.

Imho, no real progress can be made in the culture until facts, evidence, and the rule of law are valued over conspiracy theories, reflexive victimhood, allegations, innuendos, and lack of accountability. If someone’s allegations were previously proven false or unfounded, why do we still listen to them and credit their next conspiracy theories?
