On 24.04.2024 the Construction wing asked Mysuru Division to grant the 20 kmph caution order + line/power blocks to launch the spans (ref W.352/CN/BNC/I/HSD RUB/88A). The proposed June–July 2024 block dates lapsed. Two years on — no block, no work.

Meanwhile the single narrow span carries two-way traffic for 50–60 villages — the main route to hospitals in Chitradurga, Davangere & Shivamogga, and it has caused repeated accidents. One ask: grant the blocks, launch the girders, finish the bridge. @AshwiniVaishnaw @GMSWR

1. Ordered biscuits from Zepto. Outer cover looks perfect, but inside every biscuit is crushed and broken.
Support says “product not eligible” and refused to help.
I paid my hard-earned money for this. If I bought this offline, I would never accept such damaged food.

This Indian cough syrup might KILL?⚠️👇

World Health Organisation (WHO) has issued a global alert against India’s Cold Out cough syrup-

Sold in 50+ countries including UK, Germany & Iraq.

According to WHO, the syrup contains higher than acceptable limits of contaminants like diethylene & ethylene glycol.

While the acceptable limit is 0.1% for both, the tested batch contained
👉0.25 % of diethylene glycol
👉2.1% of ethylene glycol– that’s 21 TIMES the acceptable limit‼️

Bloomberg also conducted a test & reported similar results.

This is the 5th time an Indian-made syrup has been scrutinised.

Last year, at least 90 CHILD DEATHS reported were linked to these syrups. Plus, 300+ kids lost their lives to tainted syrups last year.

But how do these chemicals end up in the syrup?🤔

Well, syrups are manufactured using solvents like propylene glycol.

It’s a clear, harmless & sweet liquid.
But, it’s also costly💰

So, chemical traders often mislabel chemicals with similar compositions (such as diethylene & ethylene glycol) & sell them as "propylene glycol".

These chemicals are extremely toxic💀–

It may cause abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhoea, headaches, UTIs, altered mental state & acute kidney injury which may lead to DEATH❗

Hence, the manufacturer is supposed to ensure that each batch of chemicals is checked before the process begins.

Now, Indian authorities have taken strict action.

They’ve cancelled the manufacturing licences of multiple companies; there have been some arrests too.

But, lives lost are lost forever.

The best we can do is maintain high ethical standards so that people don’t have to be scared of something as simple as cough syrup🚫
