@DrTrevorDines @Love_plants@BSBIbotany@wildflower_hour Probably my favourite moment was in the summer, finding that Kitchen Field at Ranscombe had decided we all deserved a visual treat.
A quick search of our pheasant'-eye trial plots revealed this seedling. No sowing this year, so it's either from seed sown 2019 or second generation. Fingers crossed for a good showing of this super-rare #arable plant in 2021! #ColourInTheMargins@NatureBftB
"We will be collecting green hay and brush harvested seed and spreading it from ‘donor’ meadow sites to ‘recipient’ sites in an operation that will give a powerful shot in the arm to nature recovery"

Staggeringly, over 97% of our meadows have been eradicated since the 1930s - that's an area one-and-a-half times the size of Wales. That’s why today’s @HeritageFundUK#GreenRecoveryChallengeFund backing for making new meadows REALLY MATTERS! https://t.co/pgPILamp0M @DefraGovUK
Today we make our first quarterly donation to @Love_plants, we forage at @Ranscombe_Farm for the botanicals that make our unique, herbaceous and citrus Ranscombe a Wild Gin. Thank you to everyone who has purchased a bottle and helped us support this worthwhile charity!
Wise words from our partners at Plantlife, "one of the biggest threats to lichens is many people don’t really know very much about them, and if you don’t know about something you can’t value it". Please read the blog and get acquainted.
We are often asked about binoculars and with so many options out there knowing where to start can be difficult. This week in our birding basics Ranger Mel explains the technical terms and how to get the most from your 'bins' https://t.co/fAVBLNq3yq #birdwise#birdwatching#blog
