Unfortunate turn of events; After receiving a distressing call about a fire outbreak at Utumishi Girls Academy, parents rushed to the school only to be involved in a tragic accident along the way. Sadly, the mother lost her life while the father sustained serious injuries. Their daughter fortunately survived the dormitory fire with minor injuries.

1. He is allegedly calling regional managers soliciting money for the DG position.

2. He evades accountability and has not been taken to court like former KeRRA manager Margaret Wanja Muthui, who was charged in 2023 and assets seized for corruption. Other officials were raided for 15m received in bribes, and others were suspended, but he remains untouchable. Even an ongoing petition to remove prior leadership for procurement violations has not included his name.

3. He allegedly receives bribery and kickbacks from contractors, especially when he was managing the KeRRA Special Projects department, where he was overseeing the 10,000KM programme. He demanded 100k from contractors and additional sums of 1-2million to approve payment certificates. Reports indicate he allegedly demanded bribes and kickbacks from contractors and Resident Engineers (REs) in exchange for awarding contracts and approving payment certificates.

4. Irregular tender awards even to his mpango where he supplies illegal electricity allegedly.

5. He has an active case with EACC. He is accused of corruption, bribery, and embezzlement of funds. This led to his demotion as Deputy Director General. The EACC launched investigations in 2024 into allegations that he oversaw a multi-million corruption scheme, defrauding the agency, contractors, and the government through bribery and kickbacks.

6. He has been flaunting ill-gotten wealth, including multiple properties in Nairobi and Mombasa.

7. He fired 258 people under contract. He didn't pay them their one month salary. He is yet to pay for their gratuity.

8. He has acted for 6 months and has 9 months to retire. He became acting DG in July 2025, following the resignation of former DG Philemon Kandie amid graft allegations. In November 2025, he appeared before the Senate Standing Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations to justify KeRRA's ongoing operations amid a court stay on its winding-up until June 2026.

9. He is allegedly planning to employ 300 new people where the majority are going to be his tribesmen. He is accused of soliciting for sex and bribery for these positions. This he is doing by reshuffling HR committee that deals with staff employment by removing non loyal committee members and replacing them with his cronies, HR officers have also been replaced with an aim of employing his people amongst the 300. The secretary to the employment committee also replaced.

Lastly attend a local meeting to be taught about basic hygiene and in the process get tested for free for this or that disease. Meeting conducted by a local NGO funded by US govt.

In all these instances, she will have to register personal and medical history data.

Then in the evening, she will be shouting how the President has auctioned her "private" health data to the US government.

Let me put the last four elections in perspective, featuring @skmusyoka and William Ruto, so that everyone can make up their minds on whatever betrayals lie therein;

2007: This is the year of that meeting in Karen where Amolo wept. Raila drove himself to a meeting inside Kalonzo's Karen home, organised by Ruto. It is at this infamous meeting that Ruto told Raila to support Kalonzo in the 2007 elections because he (Raila) was unelectable due to his ethnic origins. Raila wept. He left the meeting with the words that the people would decide his electability.

It was until Kipkalya Kones unleashed the Kapkatet Declaration installing Raila as the Kalenjin candidate that both Ruto and Kalonzo realised Raila would likely win the election. Ruto responded by joining the Raila side while Kalonzo fled with the party's registration documents. Kalonzo would proceed to run on an ODM-K ticket (the party changed its name to Wiper riding on Mutula Kilonzo Senior's "goodbye" waves directed Steadman polling agency's reports consistently showing Kalonzo trailing Raila and Kibaki; "onyesheni Steadman wiper"). Later, Kalonzo joined Kibaki's fraudulent government as VP, as the country burned.

2013: A vicious hate campaign against Raila, by Ruto in the Rift Valley, riding both on the Mau Forest and ICC issues, saw Raila's 2007 support melt away. It was so well choreographed that Kalenjin MPs would descend onto Mau camps and shed tears, while parading the elderly, the disabled, women and children in the rain, with Raila painted as some monster. It was here that Ruto christened "Mganga".

Meanwhile, both Ruto and Uhuru made Kalonzo believe he would be their man for 2013. Until the two figured that they had to grab power to save themselves from the ICC. The election itself was described by Raila as a civilian coup, even though the security services, led by Gen Karangi, played a major role in facilitating the electoral theft. The Ruto hate campaign against Raila was so effective that it was almost impossible to recover in time for the election.

2017: With Kalonzo now delivering the lower Eastern vote block to Raila under the NASA coalition, this formation was headed to victory. But shadowy forces were plotting to steal the election again. And when Chris Msando stood in their way, they dispatched him as easily as they would buy pizza at the shop. But @dkmaraga stood tall, refused bribes and threats to life, and nullified the election.

But Uhuru Kenyatta was so distraught at the killing of Msando that he was willing to hand the victory to Raila. None other than Ruto is on record telling Kikuyu audiences that he went to State House "nikapata huyo rafiki yangu akifanya kitu siwezi sema hapa juu sisi ni wazee. Na alikuwa anataka tupatie mtu ya kitendawili hii kitu. Karibu nipige yeye kofi". So who stole Raila's victory in 2007? Enough said.

2022: The year of Jose Carmago. Probably the most fraudulent election of all. Even incumbent Uhuru was shocked by the blatant theft. Those who know the real story say that Uhuru saw what was going on and toyed with the idea of having Chebukati arrested and Raila sworn in under military guard. DCI Kinoti apparently agreed to lock up Chebukati. It is Raila who rejected this plan. Again, enough said.

Just so we all know, these stolen elections humiliated and hurt Raila to a level that they played a role in the decline of his health. But we don't need to go back 18 years to dig out betrayers. They have been around as late as last month!
